Description

My first PC ever built and water cooled. A product of a dream and stupidity mixed with a bit of curiosity. Stopgap before the X99 upgrade, just waiting for a good MATX mobo(Preferably Asus), pending caselabs bottom add-on or custom machined base for two new 360 or bigger rads. SLI Bridge was off by 2-4mm it did not fit LOL! Will fix it some other time.

Machine idle/LIght workload at stock no OC:

For SIngle Card set up:

26c Water, 27c 4820k, 27c Titan X

SLI:

27.9c Water, 27c 4820k, 32c SLI Titan X

Under load:

For SIngle Card set up:

41c Water, 38c 4820k, 50c Titan X Max

SLI:

53c Water, 57c 4820k, 59c SLI Titan X Max

Pump limit is up to 60c

Noise Idle/Light : Inaudible Load: noticeable but tolerable

Will upgrade to i7-5960x and 32GB 2400mhz dominator Platinums just waiting for the damn board and on the drawing board for the base extension. Might not need extension but don't want to push the water temps even more with the 5960x besides I want to OC. Will need to sleeve and manage some cables though......

If I play my cards right and the gods of moding with the help of lady luck are on my side, when everything is finished this machine will be called ARX8-Laevatein (Alienware Republics Xperimental 8 core Laevatein)

I have two jobs, well maybe one and a half because for the second I am working at home. For my first job believe it or not I'm actually a Registered nurse. For the second well lets just say because of some friends I do some computer related stuff on the side that's all there is to say.

I would have gone for the cheaper and better choice the R9 295X2 is better and cheaper than the Titan X or Z. And you probably could have SLi them if you didn't buy the titan

Thanks for the feedback. Anyways I use nvidia 3d vision so cant really use any AMD cards. My previous card choices were :

Ares III - because it was a single slot card but would sacrifice the NV 3d vision. and I want to sli but my PSU is only 850 watts so a no go there.

SLI 980 Hydrocoppers - were my first choice really until the titan came out.

Titan X bigger and faster that the 980 which offered more options that the 295X with less heat meaning less changes to the build without the addition of the pending extension.

Well this is my first build but not my first PC mostly my friends built my previous systems this one was a bit special so it needed a personal touch. The purpose of this build is to go 3 way monitor setup content creation (VIdeo editng photo editing ETC) and ofc gaming.

Ofc when the mods are done will update the PSU to 1500 watt.

TL:DR Titan X = more options, less hassle, less heat, less power consumption tons of Vram but that's just me anyways.
