Description

This is technically my Dream Gaming Build that I have been saving for the past two years to make. Everything worked quite fine out the box thankfully so didn't have to RMA anything so hoping it continues that way. Only problem I had was with my old hard drive dying on me so was a bit frustrating trying to rescue what data I could to put on the new hard drive I bought. I should probably also mention that I do video editing work as well for my YouTube channel so the machine is an all rounder and not specifically for gaming.

I feel you could have done better with your budget.

In what ways?

I'm going to have to agree with comptech0408. 16gb of RAM isn't necessary, as is the i7, if all he's doing is gaming. With those savings and a bit of a stretch, he could have gotten a 780 :(

But oh well, who am I to criticize somebody's 2 year project? Already been bought and put together, and I don't have a problem with part selection aside from a couple prices.

I wasn't trying to disagree, I was just curious as to what he meant by it. The statement was fairly vague and without a descriptive description it's hard to decipher it's intended use.

Yeah you are probably right about the 780. I do Video Capture and editing as well though so its not only for gaming but primarily. _^

I like this build :) Hows that monitor?

Thanks alot. Monitor is superb. I alternate use between my PC and PS3 and it works wonders and has PIP which comes in handy when switching between the two.

You have your 3D scores reversed.

Depends on what you are doing, but you would have good performance with a i5 4670K at about $100 less in cost. Also, you are only running one GPU, I would recommend only about a 550W power supply.

Running one GPU for now. I plan on SLI next year black friday along with another Asus monitor.

Tru but between Gaming, Video Editing, RAW capturing video and encoding/compression I felt better off going with the i7 as it perfectly matches the motherboard.

Did you get the 200m away? Isn't that bad for the air flow?
