Description

Very good build for gaming, but a mid-range overclocker, achieved 4.4ghz@3000Mhz under 85c. i absolutely love the case, fully customisable, very good airflow, been able to fit 3 liquid cooling loop with 2 - 120mm and 1 - 140mm radiator, plenty of space, can customise and put more fan with led and create somthing unique. the only thing that is missing now is a good M.2 SSD, maybe a Samsung 950 pro. UPDATE 27/01/16 - After installing a defective fan and blowing the power supply, i decided to finally clean up a bit the wire management of this little Fu****, install some news LEDs, better, WORKING, fan that aint gonna blow everything, some GENTLE TYPHOON 4200 RPM pwm modded for my 3 rads. I've also cutted a hole in the side pannel and installed a window so we can see the components, right now its a sand casted window ive got on hand but planning on getting a clear acrilic pannel. and for the dust, i know, i clean it up every 2/3 weeks, its a very old and dusty house i live, one reason i choosed this case was because of the easly accessible and removable dust filter, i took the photo while cleaning :P

Part Reviews

CPU

Good piece of hardware, can be better, oc part, but hey it's Sillicon Lottery here

CPU Cooler

Get the job done, but the finnish, and the material quality is poor at best, i stripped 3 screw hole holding the front fan and now, i must use aluminium shim to get it hold in place, but keep my 4.4Ghz Intel 5930K @3000Mhz RAM Clock under 80 celcius syntetic benchmark wise

Motherboard

A very good motherboard, with a nice set of features, Killer Doubleshot Pro X3, Wifi+bluetooth, USB 3.1, M.2 Storage, 5 PCI-E Slot, 4-SLI compatible, ect. but some drawback are some issue with RAM, verify compatibility list before buying, a the beginning the bios were clunky and not so intuitive, now since 1.5 bios upgrade, things are lot better, the bclk strap compatibility with my board is not so great too, depending on the bios upgrade, the 125mhz strap would work 1/8 of the time, and the XMP profile for my RAM is set on the 125mhz strap, so i needed to downclock my RAM to 2666, witch is the last supported 100mhz strap RAM clock. its also a shame that the very motherboard they sell as the first RGB Lighted motherboard to be so restricted with its LED control software, the 16.8 million color advertised on the box, ive yet to seen them, when i open the control panel, i see barely 12 color choices, + the effects.

Memory

Very good ram, the look is gorgeous, relatively low profile, they are fast, but be carefull with some motherboard funtion, needed to RMA one stick because of a bad memory try it funtion, the stick just never booted up again, but the service quality is relatively good. easly recommendable

Storage

Very good SSD, Windows boot under 15 sec, and the overall responsivness of the system is incredible, Must Have if still on old HDD, M.2 is even better, but much more pricey

Storage

Good old Massive storage Hdd

Video Card

These babies are my pride and joy, 2 of these in SLI will overkill your fps counter on many games in 1080p. the liquid cooling part is wonderful too, i never seen nethier of my card goe upper than 65 celcius on the most demanding games i can try

Case

This monster is a sight to behold, sexy, plenty of space, insane airflow, dedicated HDD cooling, this case is all i ever wanted for my computer, 2xUSB 3.0, 4x2.0 in the front + Mic-Headphone, 2 Xdocking bay for HDD swap on the fly, i think this is one of my favorite too.

Operating System

Must have for gaming, i hate Windows 8 when not on a touchscreen, and 10, well, we will not speak of this crap here, so good old Windows 7 64 bits to have full access to my RAM

Case Fan

Very nice looking, but lack of on/off function of the led is disapointing, and the lack of choice to get some, the electrical noise comming from the green ones is very annoying, otherwise, decent airflow, the noise from the red one is acceptable, the only this, i should have taken the jet flow for the top cooling, because of the higher static pressure of the fan is better with the Jet flow

Case Fan

Very disapointed, for a static pressure optimized high performance fan, it could be much better, my gentle typhoon can do a much better work at cooling at the same noise level, idem for my sickle flow, but at a higher noise/cfm ratio, can do much better for the price

Keyboard

Very good mechanical keypad, fit on hand perfectly, and i got big hand, very precise, love the hybrid of keyboard, gamepad

Keyboard

Nice mechanical keyboard, but the LED quality is poor at best, got 2 led defective out at stock setting 1 week after buying it, running the keyboard on a laptop without the Razer app. if i needed, il buy the stock green one

Mouse

Very good mouse, fully customisable, both by weight adjustement, and software adjustement with the logitech gamming app

Geez, you should clean up that dust and maybe neaten up the cables a little more. That case is big enough for cable management. And when I say clean up the dust, I mean the dust on the floor and the surrounding area as well. If you set it in a dusty area it will fill with dust very fast. Besides that, the thing is crazy powerful.

It's awesome and looks quite powerful, but that thing could sure use some cable management and clean the DUST!

Also, I know Canadian dollars are all around the place, but that can't be the price of the mouse.

Hi i hope you can reply this in time before i buy it. Since you have both type of fans. Do you think 19cad silencio 2400rpm fans worth over 28cad nidec gt 1850rpm pwm fans in terms of noise vs price. I know silencio will be a bit louder but for 2/3rd price of nidec gt. I am going to buy 4 fans so that will save some money.

i do not own a nidec 1850, mine is rated at 4500 rpm, ive got the gentle typhon high rpm line, but i make them run at 2000 rpm with a pwm controller, because higher than that, they are loud as hell, and i had to mod it myself, because there is no pwm wire , the fan is shipped with a 3 pin connector, but has the driver and the solder point for 4 pin pwm, that how i control my fan. they move air like crazy, at 2000 rpm there is twice the airflow than the silencio's in push pull, my gentle typhoon is push, the blade design is made to be way much more effective in push, they do create a pocket of negative pressure between the restriction and the blade in pull.

the silencio are really good fan, they are just a bit fragile, a the speed they spin, the slightest hit and they break, had two installed on a hinged pannel inside my Cosmos II case, and my dog hit the case door, slamming the hinged pannel, Bang, 2 fans with one blade missing. if they are gonna be slapped on the CPU cooler, they are very good, and really silent, could barely hear it at full speed the case closed.

but my favorite and the one that installed on my cpu cooler is my Gentle typhoon, the ratio noise\cfm is near unbeatable, i own a delta fan too, 3800 rpm or somthing like that, server grade, noisy asf and pushing a insane amount of CFM, and the gentle typhoon at 4500 rpm push as much CFM than the delta, at a much lower noise level, so Gentle typhoon the way to go i say !!!!

link to the artice that conviced me to buy these 30$ fan.....
