Description

Built this PC on $800 budget, which i stayed under until i added the ssd after christmas time. have to say, im extremely happy with the performance overall. cooling/cable management is great with this case, and all my components are perfect for what i wanted. GPU runs most games at nearly max settings smoothly, without a hitch. i would recommend everything i built this PC with.

Very nice rig for the price! Personally, on that budget I would have gone with an FX8350 cpu, much better performance for the price.

I have heard horrible things, or the basic "stay with intel nothing currently compares" scenario, whats the reasoning?

As with all fanboy "facts" there is no reasoning behind them. AMD is a great company and should almost always be the go-to brand in any budget rig. There is plenty of info out there about real-life comparison between AMD and Intel CPUs. Tek Syndicate did quite a few good ones on the FX8350.

Based on price alone then yes, it is an obvious choice to go with the cheaper one when on a budget... so yes AMD is cheaper no doubt... I am no expert on cpu technology but it seems that the general consensus is that Intel has faster, better and more powerful cpu's (price not in comparison).. so in this case if he is able to afford an i5 4670k why not go with it?

ps. its a pretty good question tho so i'm ganna try and research it further :)

it all depends on what you are doing, what your budget is, etc. Both Intel and AMD are great.

yeah, i kinda wrote off AMD for no reason, i know i could've saved myself a few bucks on the processor... but the 4670 is really great.

Why is the case different?
