Description

Main living room computer that can do online gaming decently, stream video, do many routine online tasks e.g. banking etc... Have 5 desktops in our house (family of 5). We have no cable, just stream everything! Use the money saved on monthly cable bill to upgrade/build computers. I rarely use multi drive so that choice was a discount item. Have my settings tweaked for fast boot = approx. 32-35 seconds. I Love this computer, best I have owned so far. I am no pro, but can follow directions and used recommendations from pcpartpicer.com as my guide. Most choices just based on performance for the dollar (I am sure there is a "sweet spot" for each person) and with high consumer ratings. Seagate Barracuda just bought and not installed yet. Rebates not included in prices. I think about $45.00 total in rebates.

Would have went with a cheaper PSU and motherboard myself, and then gotten a R9 270

Performance of r the dollar. So here is what I don't like with this build. SInce it is amde for gaming 8 Gb would be plenty. I like the CPU and that is a good choice but if you maybe went with a 120 GB SSD (I doin't know how much space you use) and maybe less RAM (Unless you already owned it) You could have gotten a better GPU maybe a 750 ti or 270X or maybe a 760. I would make some changes but nice build anyway.

Looks like the cable management could use some work, but overall nice build!

The feedback is greatly appreciated; this is a good way for me to learn. I have tried to make this build a little overkill for the future. I added the Seagate drive as an after thought and agree that If I did this over I would definetly go with smaller SSD. The video card was from an upgrade I was doing on 1 of my other household computers, I may go ahead and upgrade this and use the 750 elsewhere down the road.

Hows the case? Thinking about getting the same one. Nice build by the way.

The case is very affordable, pretty good size, easy to work in, has cable management features that I have not taken advantage of so far and is not ugly! So for me works great!

-1 for the GPU, but good job on the rest of the build
