Description

This is an update to the build I did in August 2013. I felt it would be a good idea to upload with updated pics/cable management. The pics are in pretty poor quality for some reason, they were taken with a 12MP camera but something seems to be wrong.

Upgrades are as follows:

SSD - Purchased 2 days after Christmas, booting up and loading into my programs in 15s.

Keyboard - First mechanical keyboard, got it as a Christmas gift.

Headphones - Bought in January to replace my breaking Razer Megalodon.

Scorpio Blue HDD - Took this out of my sisters' old laptop to hold my anime collection

In hindsight, I really should have spent less on the gpu and picked up a 7870Ghz/XT. The 760 is great - surpassing my expectations but spending less on the gpu and picking up an intel cpu would give me performance in Guild Wars 2 that I cannot get with AMD

Totally agree with the case comment, if you can eek out $50 you can really class that thing up! You did the best you could with what you got, but nothing is better than a black painted interior and come cable mgmt options. Good luck!

yeah, im thinking of putting this into a 300r, and getting an ASUS M5A99FX/Noctua NH-D14, i wanna see how far I can push the chip on air

I agree with 300R. I have one and love it. Also, the Asus M5A99FX is fantastic but I wouldn't spend so much on a cooler. The NH-D14 is around $75 and doesn't seem worth it for a fx-6300. You might want to consider going the Intel route.

Love that Steins Gate background! +1 from me. Not the most perfect build but pretty decent overall.

good budget. Those parts deserve a better case tho.

I was going to cut some holes in it and stick some rubber in as a mod to help with the cables, but this seems to be as good as it will get with all the stuff that I have inside there

i've seen some pretty nice cables in this one, I really don't know how they manage to hide it all!
