Description

Well well where do I start.. I want to first say YOU DON'T NEED A PC LIKE THIS! This PC was built to see how much I can push things to the limit i just simply wanted something Beast mode. Most of the Hardware listed i actually spent more for example the GPU's were $800 when i bought them and lots of others too. I wanted a colored themed build so it was between Yellow and black or white and black i went with white and black. This was also my first time having SLI and I have to say I love it. I ran a Valley benchmark on Extreme HD and got an average FPS of 170 and a max FPS of 206. I just want to also thank my Dad for helping me out with this build for many reasons one being, he took time of studying for tests to help/watch me build it and he also helped me out with paying for a few of the components thank you! Anyways I hope you guys enjoy the pictures and there will be a video on this build soon on YouTube if you guys are interested.

Nice build, but aren't two 980 Ti's extremely overkill to run a 1080 monitor. Is a 4K monitor in your future?

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

Yes I know possible 4k in the future

skemble 24 Builds 4 points 36 months ago

That board is so damn salty... Sick build man, very impressed with it overall.

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 2 points 36 months ago

Thank you very much!

TechyinAZ 14 Builds 3 points 36 months ago

Looks great. If I were to make my build complete, I'd do white cable sleeves and windforce coolers too. :D

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 2 points 36 months ago

They look really nice when you see them in person haha

FabulousPandas 1 Build 2 points 36 months ago

Great build, very clean!

If you don't mind me asking...Why 900D? preparing for a full custom loop in the future? there will be a lot of empty space if you're not gonna do a custom loop, and that is what the case is built/design for. the 750D is a better option if you're not doing so, imo.

Great build nonetheless, loving the black and white theme!

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

Thank you! and yes i bought it waiting for 980 ti's water blocks to come out and hasve lots of options for them that's why haha

carnetarian 1 Build 2 points 36 months ago

Very nice! I like the cable management

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

thank you!

dsargent7 1 Build 2 points 36 months ago

You can enter in custom prices, in case you didn't know. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of it for your readers.

Aside from that, this is an awesome machine. Should be a lot of fun.

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

oh i didn't know oops haha. Thank you!

Very clean build! absolutely love the scheme, and if you can still return the cards based on where you got them, you could switch to these sexy beasts? http://galaxstore.net/GALAX-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-980-Ti-HOF-6GB_p_82.html they make monster cards and have waterblocks too that look straight up amazing with a white or black and white build

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

Thank you! And wow i didnt know Galax had 980 ti's i ordered them online a little bit ago and didnt see them but i might just stick with these guys for a while aha

Atron 1 Build 2 points 36 months ago

Corsair 900D ATX Full Tower Case Very Impressed with this case. Tons of cable management options and easy access to everything. Id hope so that case is more than 2 FT long and tall, if it didnt have good cable managment for your build then maybe a truck would be the only option

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

haha good one but do keep in mind with everything in here this thing weighs a ton its so heavy i dont suggest moving it often

Atron 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

No not unless you have a strong back and somewhere to put this monster

CMDHD 2 points 36 months ago

Maybe paint the SLI bridge... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bxvM5GntRE

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

Yes i will be doing that soon haha :)

Cinnamonfire713 2 points 36 months ago

Did you get the reference 980ti cards or the one with 3 fans?

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

This is non reference

michaelpartpicker 2 points 36 months ago

Nice, but did you consider using the cheapest Haswell-E processor? Same price as this i7.

EDIT - Oops, just saw the comment above, sorry. Still, nice build.

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

haha its ok thank you!

michaelpartpicker 1 point 36 months ago

wait, you could have used the asus x99 deluxe!

ryguyhunter 2 points 36 months ago

Nice build man! A few comments though, I would've went for a cheeper case personally i feel there is no reason to have a $340 case especially if it is not on display (there are some great full ATX cases out there for half of what you paid). Also I recently purchased a 24" monitor for about $150 and I love it! I do not know what you are intending to use this build for but im going to guess you are going to play some video games with it, so unless you are running a dedicated server or hosting a server then there is no reason to have more than 12gb of RAM. I know im ragging on your build a bit, but I'm trying to give you a cheeper point of view. Last thing, I don't recommend using external storage devices (apart from flash drives) unless you need to take data to another computer. Other than that, this comp will handle everything you could possibly throw at it...apart from a bomb or something to physically harm it.

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

haha thank you, i had this case and got it on sale for $300 so i took it and i do video games 3d rendering video rendering and lots of others so that's why, and external HDD is for passwords and confidential stuff haha but thank you!

ryguyhunter 1 point 36 months ago

1TB of passwords lol, the build makes more sense now that i know that you do 3d video stuff. That computer should last you for a long time with what you have in it.

Jobforabutcher 1 Build 2 points 36 months ago

very nice build. thinking i might go buy a 900D. ever thought about Full custom loop? im in the process of getting my blocks and more rads for mine. im glad i went with a custom loop.

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

Yes its a nice case im going to possibly do water cooling in the future

vordar 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

License and Registration please. No? Okay, well I'll settle for your board number then.

It might just be the angle, but damn that cooler looks huge on there.

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

Im not sure what you mean License and Registration? but Okay

but I do have to say its massive the cpu cooler, tho block looks huge

vordar 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

That was a joke, but I was looking to see what number Mark S you got.

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

ohhh ok haha

nickjedl 2 Builds 1 point 36 months ago

This is a really, really nice build. However, I'm sitting here, wondering why you went with Z97 instead of X99?

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

thank you! haha to be honest i was aiming for the white and black themed build and this board really impressed me so I went for it

nickjedl 2 Builds 2 points 36 months ago

Sounds fair. You might wanna paint the SLI bridge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bxvM5GntRE

R7m8 submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

I'm investing in the future in a new one haha. This could be an option to!

Yoshicus 1 point 36 months ago

How hot do your 980's usually run? I'm thinking about getting a 980ti and I'm not sure whether to get an EVGA or a Gigabyte version based on the temperatures and overclock ability.

Spartaramo 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

more expensive than my future.

syntaxerrur 22 Builds 1 point 35 months ago

How hot do your 980 ti's get? My top card gets up to 83 degrees Celsius under max load. This is within normal operating temperatures but I don't like it that high.

CoolCow325 1 point 35 months ago

Where do you mount the SSD? Also how many can you fit? I am looking into using this case but can't find the listing for the amount of SSD slots

RxL-Soul 1 Build 1 point 34 months ago

you can mount upto 15 hard drives in the case if you wish but you would need to buy 2 more drive cages

RxL-Soul 1 Build 1 point 34 months ago

nice build mate love the theme i hope it does what you want it to do :)

would like to see a video of this from the inside with a brief description of your build and then the outside would be cool

hopefully i can get my build finished
