Description

Completely rebuilt - while recycling 2 hard drives, 1 solid state, and 8gb of RAM. Upgraded from previous system running an AMD FX-8350, MSI 970A-G46, Ultra LSP 750w, and 660 ti. Made possible by awesome gift-giving spirit of my family! (Added many more photos per one user's request!)

NOTICE: Previous setup ran 8gb of Kingston HyperX Blue, 4gb of Corsair Vengeance, and X-fire XFX R9 280x's. This build is now running an EVGA SC 980, and 16gb of Kingston HyperX Black!

How are your frame rates with that setup? I ask because I know that board's two PCIe x16 slots are 3.0 x16 and 2.0 x8. I know 2.0 x16 doesn't hold a card back, but I'm curious about 2.0 x8. Have you run any benchmarks and compared with other 280X Crossfire systems?

I actually only did one graphics benchmark in the Fire Strike Extreme test of 3DMark. Got a total of 6190 on this setup, with scores as follows: Graphics - 6808 Physics - 11740 Combined - 2591

May you compare with other 3DMark scores as you wish! And for what it's worth, this setup ran most games on the max, but oddly, on Far Cry 3 only, it pushed my cards to 90 celcius.
