Description

To date, I have used this machine for gaming, video editing, and for 3d animation work. The cooler works exceptionally well. The cpu overclocks like a dream. The case looks extremely good in my setup. One problem that I had was that I did not count the fan headers correctly, so I had to omit one of the cooler master jetflo fans. (I now use it to cool my new router that corrupted its CMOS from overheating). When the Jetflo fans are at full speed, it is not exactly quiet, though, as it blows about 40 cases of air through the case in a minute. But, because of its effectiveness, I am able to keep the RPM down extremely low.

Not sure, but I assume you are using the back fans as intake and the water cooler fans as an exhaust? If not, your rear fan is on backwards.

That is correct. While it is not filtered, most of the dust that I get in my house is very large hairs, so the back fan grate does a fine job. I also wanted positive air pressure, and while I could have accomplished that with the radiator fans as intake, it was better for me to have them as exaust because of where it would be placed.

You have to understand the requirements. For the games I am going to be playing on it, the iGPU can handel the GLSL instruction set, and therefore, there is no need for a dGPU on that front. When we go to content creation, time does not bother me, as I leave it on overnight, I can render out videos overnight. Therefore, because of the need for the higher end CPU (for the games I play), and the fact that only the content creation would benifit from the dGPU, it was not practical for me to spend the money. I was thinking of saving for a pascal GPU once they come out, though.

Update. I got a 980, because I was desperate to play one game that was not supported on Intel iGPU
