Description

My second solo build, completed in December of 2011. The only issue I ran into was with my CPU -- it turned out that the Crosshair V Formula's BIOS was not compatible with the AMD FX-6100, so I had to flash update it. After that, it worked flawlessly.

This is my main gaming rig and it's been exceptional. The GTX 560 is an excellent card and can run even the most recent games on High to Very High settings, with some tweaks. Its 1GB of VRAM is starting to show its age, though, and I'm looking to upgrade the card.

Lastly, I can't find a link for the case anywhere. I bought it nearly 10 years ago for my very first rig. It was called something like "Ninja Gladiator X-treme", or some other silly name. No idea who the manufacturer was.

My wife has that same case and I hate it as far as cable management. Some inside pics would be great to see what you did with them. The case is a Logisys Dracula.

Yeah, it's atrocious for cable management. I should be upgrading my GPU soon so I'll snap a few shots of the inside.

Also, I think I may have gotten some cheap knockoff of the Logisys case. I'm not really complaining though; people keep complimenting it. It certainly has character.

Not sure about that power supply... also, the Formula Z is WAYYYY overkill for a 6100. I would upgrade CPU and GPU soon.

The PSU I definitely went overboard on (I was young with far too much money), but I it's been solid so far. Definitely looking at upgrading the CPU and GPU in the next few weeks.
