Description

After streaming on Twitch for 4 months, it was time to build the PC.

You can see the PC build recorded on twitch.tv/trekendrift (9/17 stream)

Thanks to Pete, Zemnus, and the rest of the squad for making it happen!

I also purchased an RTX 2060 Super for pretty much the same reason. Nividia simply does a MUCH better job with updates and drivers. Also having the Ray Tracing is a bonus (small one).

I heard the drives on the 5700xt aren't that great and make you go blue screen? That's why some people would prefer the 2060 super.

I’ve gotten a single blue screen personally. For the price, I think the bang for buck is much higher. Plus, there are always new drivers.

To each their own man. No need to be toxic. Can't you be stoked I built my first PC ever???

Not that it matters to you, but consider this: The RTX 2060 Super has a TDP of 175 watts, whereas AMD's similarly priced 5700 XT draws up to 225 watts.

As somebody who is trying to be frugal in all aspects, including power consumption, this was the deal maker for me.

Also, I am using this particular case in memory of my friend who passed away. He bought this case and was going to build a new PC for himself. It is very small, so there were restrictions for space (consider cooling):

"While Nvidia moved to a new dual-fan setup for its Founders Edition RTX cards last year, AMD has stuck to its blower-style on its reference cards. This feels like an obvious mistake because the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT both run hotter and are way louder than Nvidia’s RTX competition as a result."

I think you should chill out m8. I like the build.

Also I think you need to redefine your definition of “toxic”. I just don’t prefer the 2060 super.
