Description

This is my first "from the ground up build". You can't really see the SSD I tried the the pictures just did not come out right. And the is an extra hard drive in there but it's only in there to get data off of it, it's an old drive that is falling. Also so of my prices were a bit cheaper then the ones listed but only a little maybe like $100 cheaper in all. My only real compliant is that the OCZ power supply cables are a bit short. And yes I am running the stock cooler but I am thinking about getting an Corsair H80i and try overclocking for the first time.

Update: Minor update to the system add the extensions to the power supply cables to the video cards now can be routed to the back of the case. Also changed the way the top fan was hooked up is now connected to the fan controller in the case. Thanks to the commenter who basically reminded me to upload the new pics.

Update 2: Very minor update added a light to the bottom of the case. Also left a pics of two of my android figures in the upload of pics enjoy!

Update 3: Well I got and installed the XigmaTek Dark Knight SD1283 Night Hawk Edition and a second fan for it so it is in Push/Pull. Also moved the top hard drive cage to the bottom to help with airflow for the video card. Will try overclocking the CPU soon but it runs very cool with default settings.

I really do, great looking and nice space on the inside. Maybe a few very small things I would like to see but nothing major at all.

Also your cable management is better then mines so great job on that! There is a reason that is no pic of the back of my motherboard tray.

+1 on the cooler. No sense in an unlocked CPU unless you're going to unlock that sun of a gun :D

Shame on the GPU power cables. I don't try to hide the fact that I love Corsair's case's cable management. You clearly spent some time on it but the GPU cables kind of ruin the look. You might look into getting one of those sleeved extensions as a future aesthetic upgrade.

Good job, though . . . nice rig! Upvoted.

Yea maybe later this month i might that is what I had to do with the 8 pin power. And it's to bad because otherwise I really like the OCZ power supply, just the cables are too short.

OR sleeve them yourself! :D

It's pretty tough though... requires custom sleeves and tools for removing the pins in the power connectors...

Don't get me wrong great board I just wish I had got one of the step up models. For a little more you can get two more SATA 6Gb/s and an ESATA port http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128583. Also there is the even higher end board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128545 and it is about $40 more then I paid, so I just wish I had got one of those instead. But if you don't need the extra features than come with those boards, the one I have is great and has been no problems and works great. And I love the fact they are black pvc boards. So don't let the star thing throw you. :)

well, I guess I'm fine with it since I will only get 1 hard drive and 1 SSD, however, if Microcenter were to have the UD4H I would get it instead of the 3 ($50 off cpu + mobo)

Yea I have my SSD and one of the two hard drives in the 6Gb/s ports and the other hard drives and the DVD burner and Blu-Ray burner in the other 3Gb/s ports no problem just a little buyer remorse. But no biggie still a great solid broad.

Nice build, I loooove that case!

Are the cables on that PSU any shorter than on other modular supplies, or is it just the routing? I've always heard mixed things about OCz. How do you find them?

Thanks! And yea the PSU is great and has been very stable, but I will say that the cables are short. The 6-pin cable barely made it to the top of the motherboard without the extension cable and could not be routed around the back. And even the video card cables could not make it around the back without extensions. But it is build well and is not audible at all. So for a smaller case I would say it would be perfect, but for the 600T I did have to buy 3 extensions cables. So maybe look at some other power supplies if you don't want to have to do that.

Looks good! I'd try running that fan connector behind the board though. It looks kinda iffy running across the board like that. XD

Yea I had fixed that awhile ago just never got around to updating the pics, well that is done now ;)
