Description

Hi after a long time of being a console gamer I've finally decided to build a pc. I've chose an APU because graphics cards are really expensive at the moment so im waiting to get a summer job to do some upgrades (will leave the upgraded list down to the bottom). So this machine is used for gaming and a small bit of school work and it performs very nicely. I mostly play fornite and csgo and I run fornite on medium 1080p with 50-60 fps and csgo on high 1080p with 80-90 fps. I've had no problems so far. overall I'm super happy I made the switch I'm having so much fun!

Wow, I'm honestly amazed that the integrated graphics perform that well

It’s (roughly) similar to a GT 1030/RX 550.

Dude take the mousepad pic off your build upload. I don't care, but you don't want your build to get pulled over something stupid like that.

wait who would care if he is showing off his mouse pad if someone had a problem for whatever reason I would just delete their comment because no one really cares it's all about personal preference when you get down to it anyway

daniellilley 1 point 8 months ago

What was the mousepad?

Nice build, I just looked at your future upgrades and I have a few recommendations. First off I think that you should get a cryorig h7 for your cooler as it looks and performs much nicer than the hyper 212. For the second recommendation I think that you should just get another 8gb stick of skill ram as it would save you money and then maybe put that saved money toward the gpu and get a 1070 that's on sale, of course these are just recommendations and it's your pc so do with this as you will, also you should remove the pics with the mousepad. +1

Pretty nice specs for a first build! Pretty well thought out, too. Does the case have a built-in LED strip?

Also, I wish you the best of luck in finding a nice GPU!

morgand148 submitter 1 Build 3 points 8 months ago

yes the phanteks p400s comes with a really nice rgb led strip! and thanks means a lot:)

What do you recommend for a monitor? Or what do you use?

morgand148 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

can you show me your build? and I use a old benq 60 hz monitor that I was using for my xbox and it works perfectly fine with my build.

jroberti20 1 point 8 months ago

uhh... i was thinking about getting my first pc and just saw your build, I've never owned a pc in my life, only mac laptops. I was just wondering what monitor i should get

morgand148 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

well if your doing a budget build I would suggest going with a simple 60hz monitor that will do you just fine until you want to upgrade your pc.

Rajenator 1 point 8 months ago

+1 nicely done! Good upgrade path, too. :)

morgand148 submitter 1 Build 2 points 8 months ago

thank you sir :)

I'm still not used to a working gaming PC having all open PCIe lanes, even though it's a really good idea with GPU prices. Upgrades look reasonable and straightforward; overall, nice build.

Jake122 1 point 8 months ago

I was looking to do a very similar build, did you have any issues upgrading the bios to support the APU?

morgand148 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

actually I had no problems at all everything worked just fine

Jake122 1 point 8 months ago

Nice! Thank you!

PC-Gamer-Builder 1 point 8 months ago

nice build you got right there and its impressive that the integrated gpu performs that well. Did you have to update the bios of the motherboard or did you get it 2nd gen ready when you bought it?

morgand148 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

no I didn’t, it was all ready to go

Skoot 2 points 8 months ago

where did you order the board from what website?

morgand148 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago
WaterTriber 1 point 8 months ago

Love the build name!

Looks good though my only criticism would be power supply. Overkill for this unless in the near future you want to add a video card. In that case, by the time they come down you might want to beef up the CPU at the same time. Non APU equivalents have more threads and cores.

YaBoiMac 1 point 6 months ago

maybe when you have enough money get a 1060 for even better preformance
