Description

Hello Users of PCPartPicker. A few weeks ago I posted my PC setup at my house, but I just didn't like the Bitfenix Prodigy Case very much, so I decided to move the parts into a spare Corsair 350D that I had laying around, as well as add some SP and AF fans while I was at it.

Don't get mad at me for my cable management, I spend a few minutes on it and I'm still waiting for my new mATX mobo to arrive, because the mITX layout isn't the best for this case.

As you can tell the sata cables go over the ram, and there is a huge space of nothing next to the Mobo because it's not big enough which makes it look wierd.

Also I never originally planned it to be a Blue and Black theme, It's just how it ended up like.

Upgrades I'm waiting for:

1: Asus P8Z77-M Pro mATX motherboard

2: 2nd Msi GTX 770

3: Blue Bitfenix Custom Sleeved Cables.

4: Corsair AX860i Fully Modular PSU

Edit: Sorry for the bad Image Quality.

Sorry for the late reply, I went to sleep. This is a lower end PC for me, Most of the parts are spare parts. Except things like the monitor.

would you sell parts? :)

I would just give it away for free if anything. Just not anytime soon because I still enjoy building PCs alot.

You'd really give it away for free?! are you rich?! lol

No, It's just that my Time is worth more than what I would get from selling the parts, and making others happy is worth something to.

It's the Blue Yeti. I don't use it very often because I have a Blue Yeti Pro and Blue Spark Digital. It's sarcasm, but It's mostly a spare part build too.

why do you always like to be sarcastic :) i just got my gpu in, check out my build :)

I did it in the first build So It's just an update for that specific build. I'll probably be posting ALOT more builds in the future, probably around the 40 or so.

How is the ASUS VG248QE? I am hoping to go NVIDIA Surround with it

I've got 5 VG248qe's atm, the higher refresh rate and response time is amazing, But I still personally prefer higher pixel density. But you won't be disappointed for gaming. Just make sure your GPU is powerful enough to run them.

What are you gonna exactly do with 5 of these screens LOL and I think SLI 780's are enough for anything.

(BTW why did you spend money on 5 screens and get a 770 and why not get 2 780's or titans.Kind of a dumb mistake in my book.)

Hey, GTX 780's at stock speeds will be enough. I don't use all the monitors at once, I have multiple PCs that use it, and a few friends that use my PCs whenever they're there. I guess that's still not enough people to use 30+ PCs at once.

I see so basically your like a LAN party host :)

I guess you can put it that way! I basically just started building ALOT of PCs after my Dad left. And maybe after I get bored with all of them I'll give them all away?

Man.. this is such a ****** *** build! I need to message one of the admins to look at this and remove it, I think it's a troll build..

Holy crap that mousepad is HUGE. Can you link it to me? It looks amazing.

Also, I don't see what everyone is freaking out about, especially considering that this in the middle of changes as you've stated. Cable management isn't even that bad considering you'll be changing so much of it soon anyways.

Hello, It's the Corsair MM200 XL edition mouse pad. The reason I haven't worked much at all on the cable management is because I'm still trying to find some Blue Custom sleeved cables for the PSU, I want Bitfenix Cables but they don't sell the Blue colour in Canada atm, So I'll probably pick them up next i'm in the USA or just order just find some on craigslist or something.

Nice franken build, then. It's seems like the parts are better suited in a full size build anyway.

Thanks! I think the most annoying thing about having an mITX mobo in this case is the layout of the mobo. Makes it impossible to hide a few cables.

I am still debating if I should get the vg248qe or am ips monitor. Is the vg248qe really worth it? I heard the colors are somewhat distorted, but it can be adjusted right? How inferior is the vg248qe compared to 60 hz ips monitors?

  • 1 point

It is true that the colours are TERRIBLE, But that's just my opinion. I'm just so used to having AH-Ips and PLS monitors. If you calibrate it, It's not that bad. But if you have an IPS/PLS monitor next to a TN panel you will notice the difference.

I mean for the price it's really good. Is it worth it for the 144hz? Would you reccomend it?

  • 1 point

I like the 144hz, But Some people can't notice the difference between 60 and 120+. It's worth the money though.

If I had spare parts this good I don't know what I would do!
