Description

Doing this build for some parents for there son, he has no idea he's getting this for Xmas! :D Went with all the blue cause thats the kids favorite color.

Please keep in mind the $700 is not what it actually cost to build this as I did find some really good deals on these parts which is why i chose them, completed build including monitor, mouse and keyboard was about $560

Hope you guys enjoy! Stay tune for more as I have another 'rebuild' coming up for another customer.

I have a system builders license and it's just what I have on hand.

I would have recommended an AMD Athlon II X4 750K and around a $100 graphics card, maybe an R7 260x to take advantage of the upcoming mantle. I'm not positive but I think that may perform a little better even though you're running the 6670 in crossfire with the apu. I don't know, I'm just a teenager haha I could be wrong. Nice build otherwise! that kid is lucky!

It's possible, the parents had a fairly tight budget though and I've heard great things about the APU's and them being able to be overclocked (CPU It's self) As well as the GPU part of it, so with that in xfire with the 6670 it should perform very well. I will be doing a review and benchmarks with it as soon as I get the hard drive.

Wouldn't it have been better to just run on the APU instead of getting a graphics card?

Nice build

Honestly no.. Apu, especially with this cpu, Isnt a replacment for even a 40$ gpu. Definetly couldve gotten a better gpu, but for the budget this is a very solid build.

Aren't you able to run in crossfire between the APU and the 6670?

I definitely agree that it's a solid build. Especially for its purpose.

Actually, around this time the A-10 5800k is less (or around the same price) compared to what he paid for the A-8, and he could have officially crossfired that with the 6670 he bought for better performance than what he currently has.

"Apu, especially with this cpu"

I'm not sure what you're saying there, but you don't run an APU with a CPU. An APU is AMD's processor with it's own integrated graphics.

Ik, geuss I worded that badly. What I mean is that apu isnt as good as a gpu.
