Description

This was my first build so I was pretty excited. My last laptop was an XPS m1530 from '08 so this was a great upgrade compared to that. Putting the rig together was pretty good, though I do wish I chose another mobo I believe the g-43 doesn't have VRM heatsinks causing them to heat up pretty quickly. I installed 4 rosewill ball bearing fans filling out the fan slots in the tower so I actually don't suffer too much from heating problems.

I can't say that it's the best or anything, I don't do any rigorous gaming or anything. When it comes to gaming the only games I currently play are Warframe and Path of Exile so I'm never pushing this rig to the limit.

If I had a tad bit more money I would've just got an HD7850 but oh well not like I would've used it to it's fullest extent.

In the end I'm glad with this build and I'd recommend every part other than the mobo I got.

First of I want to say congrats on your first build.

Next I would like to ask you if you could post more images of your build. The internals are always great to see.

Lastly you state "If I had a tad bit more money" but yet you bought Win7 Ultimate?? Was there a reason for this as Win7 Home Premium is $100 less. I know the horse is out of the barn but if I am on to something then you could have used the money towards the GPU or 4GB more of ram.

But I bet this runs circles around the old laptop!!

Congrats !

Let's hope he didn't crack it. Pirating an OS is an awful idea.

Some of my friends cracked their Windoes and are having no problems with it but I do suggest a legit OS.

Agreed. I feel that you should pay for the things that have had SO much work put into their development

It's not just that, if you don't do it properly there could be issues with updates making it insecure, etc.

When u say already had the OS, do u mean there is a way to transfer your os from one PC to another?

He might have a random product key or hard drive with it installed lying around.

I don't quite seem the whole point of getting an after market cooler if you not over clocking your CPU. Also I don't get the whole point of the 6300, you could of gotten the FX-760K for about 20$ cheaper. Probably could have gotten a better MOBO to fix those heating issues. Finally, why Windows 7 Ultimate? Not like you have 16 GB's of ram or anything like that. Could of done a lot more with shaving off an extra hundred bucks for Home Premium. But good job on your first build! Hope you enjoy it!
