Description

(pics 3-5) This was a gaming PC that my sister boyfriend gave me as a starter PC since im new to PC gaming. Came with an AMD Athlon II X3 450 CPU, 2 x 4gb sticks of crucial DDR3 of RAM, a Biostar motherboard, SSD, HDD, PNY GTX 1050 in a Corsair SPEC-04 case. I kept both storage parts, the GPU and the Corsair case and added them to the upgrades.

I bought these new little upgrades to play more games and to also game a little better with the budget i had. I also bought some black and red sleeved cable extensions on Amazon and made a small PSU shroud out of metal and painted it black to make it look nicer. This was my first PC i get to build and i had a blast building it cant wait to start building more PC's in the future.

Update: I upgraded the GPU to a 1660 TI and got a second monitor (Asus VG248).

Thanks for checking out my build and have a great day.!

Part Reviews

Motherboard

Awesome motherboard to build with. Had no problems when building on it and starting it up for the first time. I see good amount of features for the upgrades in the future.

Memory

Great RAM.! Got the advertised speeds with no problems.

Case Fan

The case i had only had a fan for intake so i had to buy a new fan for exhaust. Wanted a decent Corsair fan that worked with the budget i had at the moment so for went for these.

Nice build bruv! Question, did the ram ever give trouble to overclock? I don't recall seeing it on the Memory QVL for ASRock and so I just ordered the Patriot Viper 4. Let me know please, thanks a mil! Hoping to have my build up and running by next month when all the parts come together.

Thanks for the comment and no i didn't have trouble with the RAM. At first when booted it said my RAM speed was at 2100 but i went into the bios and turned on xmp profile and it boosted my RAM to its advertised speed 3200 with no problem. I just looked up videos on YT on turning on xmp profile. Hope this helped and good luck on your build. Let me know how it goes. Enjoy.!
