Description

This machine I'll use for gaming and graphics modeling. It's the first PC I built for myself and it'll run Windows 8 and Ubuntu. One of the main reasons I chose the parts I did was because they were on sale, so be nice :) (I'll get better pictures once I get better lighting too)

Some notes: I couldn't find the correct RAM in any of the lists here, so I picked a Patriot bundle that matched the price and performance. Also, the case obviously isn't white, as my part lists says... (I bought the color that was available at the time)

It's the White Knight because it glows white and I like Batman.

O.o I didn't even think of the static at the time... I'm a lot more careful with non-personal builds apparently

Why the locked CPU with a Z87 motherboard?

He says that everything was on sale. Plus it could be for features.

Thanks Radicult! That's correct- the K series excludes some features I would like to have for school and the price point for the motherboard and cpu was good when I bought them.

My dad's comp is the Blue Knight (he had just watched The Dark Knight and it glows blue)... so I decided to stick with the trend (mine glows white).

Alright makes sense, nice build by the way.

I would just get a Cooler Master Hyper212 Evo / Pro and be done with it. Everything else looks good.

I was thinking about maybe liquid cooling it sometime in the future, any ideas on that?

I'd say no, only because you don't have an unlocked CPU. If you wanted to overclock, than water cooling is definitely viable. But if you're on a locked CPU, medium-high end air cooling will do just fine.
