Description

This was a relatively easy build. It is the third computer I have built from the ground up and the first one for myself. Building in the Fractal Design Meshify C Mini Dark TG was a breeze. The built in cable management in the back helps so much and the psu shroud is fantastic for hiding everything. The two Noctua 140mm fans in the front help keep air flow going when I start pushing the system heavily. My processor sits around 3.7 Ghz with the auto OC enabled and about 30 C idle and 60-68 C load. I have a slight OC applied to the 1660 ti on the processor and the vrms but not enough to be substantial. It sits around 30 C idle and 60 to 65 C load.

It arrived 3 days after the build, I got impatient and built it in advance.

Solid mid-range CPU and GPU, check. SSD for OS, check. Good case with side panel, window, check. Good cable management, check.

You hit all the major things for a very good first build. Nicely done.

Man, that system looks sweet, but I have suggestions that I want to give you:

  • Maybe you can buy another Noctua fan so it doesnt look derpy
  • And maybe buy some sleeved cables

Otherwise, a really great first build. Congratulations!

I wanted to get some sleeved cables and another noctua fan or two but it was a budget build so maybe in the future

Few things I'd change, I'd get 3200mhz ram for about £2 cheaper, get 1tb ssd instead of ssd/hdd, and would of went with the sapphire pulse vega 56 for the 8gb of vram and would of went with fractal design fans to keep brands the same. (my personal liking)

Way too pricey on the ram in my opinion.

What’s wrong with the ram?

I thought $71 for 16Gb at 3000Mhz was a pretty decent deal. I wanted to go for 3200 but when it boils down to it I can XMP the ram or just live with a slight performance drop.
