What deals did Black Friday have to offer for 2016? All prices listed are after rebates, and all rebates were completed.
1080p 144hz Freesync completely overclockable gaming system created for the latest AAA titles and Civ 6 was bundled with the video card for Black Friday making this system not only better than the Modest gaming build but cheaper as well. i5-6600k overclocked to 4.5ghz 3200mhz ram profile and MSI 480 overclocked with afterburner.
The CPU and Motherboard were purchased at Microcenter which had a $30 off the motherboard price, which is why the Z170 is so low in cost.
The only thing I didn't get a deal on was the case which is just something I wanted due to the looks and Fan molex switch as well as the positioning of the on/off button.
Easy to overclock, will never lose value.
Similar to the Evo 212 except with a blue fan, also many don't notice a small detail of the small cutout in the heatsink for easier M.2 drive slot installation. The price is lower because the heatpipe melding at the bottom is spaced rather than squished together, a proper smooth spread of thermal paste reduces the significance of the heatpipe meld.
Easy to overclock CPU and memory using the BIOS. The Ultra Durable aspect is what sold me on Gigabyte, some parts of the installation process may cause stress on a motherboard so I like having the added durability. Star taken off because the App Center and EasyTune software are garbage and Speedfan doesn't have a profile for this mobo.
Motherboard recognized 3200mhz XMP, even though the motherboard manufacturer doesn't explicitly state that this memory is supported it worked perfect.
Amazing case with all the features I wanted. Although i wish there was slightly more room behind the cable shroud for those extra thick braided motherboard cables.
Fully modular, excellent PSU with beautiful cables.
I actually got the ACER KG240A but of PCPartpicker did not have it listed. It has all the same specs as this one except the base looks slightly different and mine was $149 at Microcenter. Bright out of the box, came with DVI and DP cables, Freesync, 144hz 1080p.
