Description

I would recommend anything and everything on this list to anyone. Please, I welcome recommendations and comments.

This website helped me a lot. I wanted to put some things out there I think might help others out like me. I cannot speak very technical so I will speak only to my remedial understanding of things.

Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core - No issues.

NZXT Kraken X61 106.1 CFM Liquid - Liquid cooling can sound intimidating. These pre-filled systems that are out now make it easy. The Kraken keeps my I7 cool, even when live streaming and gaming at the same time.

MSI Z97-GAMING 7 ATX LGA1150 - No issues.

Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 - No issues.

Samsung 840 EVO SSD - You will never regret an SSD in your life. Unless you format wrong in the beginning and brick the first one you bought like I did.

MSI GeForce GTX 980 4GB Twin Frozr - Handles everything I've thrown at it on Ultra (1080p). Better for the price. Going to hold off on getting another for SLI until 4k becomes more relevant and affordable.

NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower - I love this case. For the price this has to be one the best bang for you buck cases out there. It make it looks like I spent hours on cable management when really it took no extra time. It does not take up to much space on my small desk, still allowing dual monitors and it is a very clean and simple design.

Corsair 860W ATX12V / EPS12V - No Issues... I think this might be overkill for the current set up... Will this be good for for SLI 980's?

Microsoft Windows 8.1 - 64-bit - Love it.

Asus VN247H-P 23.6" - Had one of these running with my old laptop setup. Got another, again until 4k becomes more relevant and affordable. But IMO 24" is the perfect size monitor. Have 27" at work at it is to much to look at. 24" FTW.

Corsair K70 RGB - I Acutally have the K65 RGB, its not listed for some reason. I Love it.

Corsair M65 RGB Wired Laser - Love it very comfortable, The sniper button is great.

Razer Tartarus - I got this primarily for setting up macro's for hotkeys for OBS since I wanted a compact tenkeyless keyboard for more mouse room on the small desk. This works great.

Astro A40 + MixAmp Pro - Black - These have to be the most comfortable headset I've ever worn. 12+ hours at a time I playing sometimes and its still like they are not even there.

Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ Cardioid Condenser USB Microphone - I like it. I think it sounds better then other USB mics out there like the Yeti. Its no Electro-Voice RE20 though.

Great rig!

Just one thing is your ram, check which slots they are in for dual channel memory!

Still a awesome build and love that keyboard and mouse combo there

None really. This was my first build ever. Everything goes together like legos. The instruction are lacking with the kraken but its not to hard to figure out.
