Description

After 5years without PC I was more than surprised when I started to look for parts to build a new rig! I will change the case to a xigmatek Elysium. First time I wanted to buy x79 but I don't really want to use that much a power for gaming:) graphics card length changed a lotxD

On the day i wanted to buy the Elysium, i saw the Corsair Carbide Air 540! So far is the best case i had.! i already modded the bottom of the case for the extra 2 fans. This case is like Freezer!!!

the last steps will be a modular psu, custom Wcoolers and the LEDs

I would have gone for a 770 over the two 660's, but this is a nice looking build. Also, i would have gone for 4x4 kit rather than buy 4 individual sticks just for that compatibility reassurance.

Your title implies that you were expecting a bit of criticism, but your build isn't too bad. You could have saved some money in areas (for example, the RAM and the OS), but there are some solid part choices in there.

How are the 660's working in SLI? Good build.

Like a dream. Oc version... Short life but powerful, and how I see the change of the price compare to nonOC verisons, I think they will have a really short lifespan.

The RAM and HDD are the most misspent areas, you can get 16 gb kit for a bit less if that's how much you really needed (8 is fine for gaming)

You can also get a 1 TB HDD for that price

Other than that solid build

No clue it was a quick choice... I have plenty ram so it can work freely.

i bought the 660s in february for 199each, at first i wanted to buy 680 but ive seen compares which shows that 660s in SLI are stronger than a 680. CPU+mobo+cpucooler are arrived 2weeks ago. OS(i never paid for it^) where can i find cheap watercooling kit?

you have to make sure that the games your playing actually take advantage of the multi gpu configuration or else they're not so great, probably could have gone with 2 sticks and gotten a bigger hard drive other then that really solid build nice sabertooth
