Description

I use this PC mostly for school. With the multi-6 monitor display I can easily display 6 different items across the screens and complete my work significantly faster than normal. The Dell Monitors were given to me for free from a school that no longer needed them. I used a Mon Mount Hex Mount for the displays. The rest of the hardware was bought from Microcenter, Newegg, Amazon, and ebay.

Intel Pentium G3258 3.2Ghz @ 4.5Ghz 1.3v

Klevv 8Gb @ 1400Mhz

Western Digital 1TB Hard Drive

EVGA GeForce GTX 580

EVGA GeForce GTX 480

Build runs excellent, I need both the GTX 580, 480, and iGPU to drive all 6 displays.

I can play a game windowed, stretch across all six screens and it uses the GTX 580s horsepower to drive the game.

how did you get the drivers for 3 different gpus to work at the same time?

I installed the motherboard drivers first, then the GTX 480/580 drivers, rebooted and everything is working together at the same time pretty good. I haven't had any issues.

If you want greater cooling in for your processor, upgrade the 120mm fan on the H50 to a UCTS12A 120mm fan. This fan can do 154CFM and has the lowest amount of sound made at this high airflow that I could find. Your current H50 fan is 57CFM, so the UCTS12A fan has 2.7x more airflow and does 38dB compared to the Corsair H50 stock fan that does 30dB, so there will be a noticeable difference in sound.

Lots of reviews saying that fan gets super loud especially after a few months of use

Very impressive use of new and old parts. +1 for sure.

Interesting to see the PC high on the wall like that, definitely a unique design. I would only suggest to get some better speakers, other then that nice build.

That CX 750w... I would suggest replacing it in the future, not immediately just consider it. Not talking about wattage issue, more of the quality. And yes, I'm very aware it's being used for school and your workstation. It's just what I saw spent, could have afford a better PSU then. EVGA's GS, G2, B2 or P2 would have been my recommendation. Since spent $75 on a PSU, there was a EVGA GS 550w or a EVGA G2 750w for a similar price or close to it. And I'm not saying it's going to explode because that's a bunch of nonsense, it'll be OK for now.
Otherwise your build looks interesting, very awesome. It's nice to see something out of the norms then we have usually seen. Enjoy your workstation!

does the pentium ever struggle with the multitasking you throw at it, or is most of just simple things like word documents and internet tabs? Like how you got creative with some of the stuff and reused them, sweet set up +1

My main PC is an i7 4790k and there is a difference in speed. The Pentium doesn't really struggle, it does what it as to do. However on my i7 I can have a game running in the background, music playing, browse the internet without phasing it, the Pentium on the other hand if I try doing all of these same things at the same time you can definitely tell its being somewhat slowed down.

That is really a lot of monitors. Wow. LOL. That PC is mounted so high up that you need to be a Center to reach it for the USB port.

I'm just not sure how many monitors you can use at once. You could maybe go a little less on the monitors and put some upgrades into your box. But each person has priorities on what they really want.

What kind of work do you need 6 monitors for? XD Other than that, pretty nice build you have.
