Silent, but deadly gaming.
If this was built more recently, you should have done these things: 1. Gotten a 770 for near the same price. 2. Gotten a Samsung 840 (Pro) SSD. 3. Gotten a better motherboard, such as the UD3H or P8Z77-LK.
I'm not going to tell you that you should have gotten Haswell because there are very few advantages for hardcore gaming or overclocking, and the Z87 motherboards are like $20-$30 more than Z77 and aren't much better for general gaming purposes.
I got the EVGA 670 Sig 2 for $340 on ebay at the last second. But i agree i could have gotten more for my money, Thanks for the comment.
you should really fix that cable management. then it'll be a silent, cool, deadly gamer
yeah, it looks like a mess. Gotta clean it up and improve airflow.
Yea it does in the picture, i fixed it a bit later. It's a bit hard to hide it all because the PSU isn't modular.
Awesome! Pretty much what we are building. Same MoBo CPU and almost same Video card. Can't wait for my parts to arrive next week!
Great build, it would be better if the graphics were upgraded to a 770, which is 23 dollars more, but more powerful than a GTX 680.
Those Cables -.-
Yea i know :)
Right Now your RAM is like this:
XXOO where X is RAM and O is an empty slot.
To make it run in dual channel you should position it like this.:
I fixed that after taking the picture, thanks though :)
And this, ladies and gents, is why you buy a modular PSU.
or take your time with zip ties!
What's the thermal compound for? Sorry, I'm a newb at this.
It acts as a base between the cooler and the CPU so the metal doesnt melt together or make it EXTREMELY hot. It also acts as a help for cooling.
I up voted you cuz of your build name.
The point of this site is to criticize (the constructive type) builds, not to like their names.
somebody doesn't have a sense of humor.
