Description

Stopped using PC's in college when my career path led me toward Apple computers. Have always wanted to build a PC, as I love tinkering and personalizing things. Destiny 2 cross save broke my 14 years without a PC and led to this, my first ever self-built PC. It's all pretty new, but seems to be running well. Going to use it mostly to game, maybe a little photo editing too. End of the day, it was a ton of fun and so satisfying to watch power up the first time.

Edit 9/19/2019: Wasn't super happy with the temperatures I was seeing with my CPU under load. Decided to add a couple of 140mm fans to the front and replace the stock cooler with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition. Saw about 10c-15c drop in temperature. (Also added some photos of the computer in its element.

Love the colour scheme and part selection and your photography skills show it off nicely, +1!

Hey, thanks a lot! Had to take some nice photos to make sure it looked as cool to everyone else as it does to me. Haha.

Are you able to change the orange to a different color like blue?

Yeah, all parts are compatible with the ASRock RGB software and can be changed to whatever color you want.

I don't know if you're someone who names their possessions, but given the 'Sapphire', color-scheme, and 'Steel legend' mobo; I think you should name it "The Forge". [hopefully it doesn't actually get as hot as a forge though ;) ]

Hadn't thought about it, but that'll do!

I've been looking at your build for the past few days because of how amazing it looks, glad I realized you updated it. Personally I prefer CPU coolers that are a bit more minimalist but it does look quite nice.

Haha, thanks! Yeah, the cooler is a bit, um, commanding. But I was looking for something that kept the aesthetic and also would be considerably better and displacing the heat from the CPU. For performance, I'm happy with the change.

The Hyper 212 RGB is a good price for the performance with some great looks.

This thing looks great! Not many Orange themed builds, and I think it looks really nice. I also really like your office space, especially the wall art and decks.
