Description

I built this rig in June of 2010 and it is my first build so there have been upgrades done since then. I have a Fry's Electronics store and a Micro Center right around the corner, so most of the parts were bought there except for the 660 Ti and the vengeance memory which were bought at Best Buy. I did the custom window myself. This case is horrible for cable management so I did the best i could with what I had to work with. I know the fans are red in my list but the blue ones are not available. I decided not to put a SSD in this rig because I really don't turn it off, just put it to sleep, so no boot time required. Fire Strike score 4107 ehhh

I'm probably not going to do anymore upgrades on this rig except flip the hyper 212 over (didn't realize the CM name was upside down until after the fact) . Next year I'm going start a new rig and i'm going bigger, better, and faster.

I chose floor for mine cuz of the noise and light. Kinda distracting for me.

Nice parts. And I feel your pain about cheap CoolerMaster cases. I too had major cabling issues. So why a fx-4100 instead of a fx-6300?

I chose the 4100 because at the time i didn't really know what i was doing haha. The build was a great learning experience.

gotcha. well..maybe in a year you'll want a 8320. fx-4100 is kinda weak but we can improve on that.
