Description

Only pic I have is before cable mgmt. I am very pleased with this HTPC though. Very smooth. Boot from the SSD, the 1TB is my DVR drive, and the 3TB USB 3.0 drive holds my media, converted from my DVD collection. TV Source is from SiliconDust HD HomeRun Prime. It's not the prettiest MC, but's solid, stable, and get's it done for my family.

I would of cut down on RAM and get a better processor for a media center.

I hear you. If I were to rebuild, I would get a better CPU. The prices listed are not indicative of what was actually paid. MC was built a couple of years ago, and I hat a pretty tight budget I had to adhere to. At that time, RAM was cheaper then it is now, so it was not much of an issue to do 8 GB RAM. And it just wasnt in the budget to do an A10, which is what I wanted. I could always upgrade if I felt the need. Honestly though, that A6 does just fine. I get no lag out of this box.

Keyboard any good?

I like the keyboard a lot. The trackball and buttons are high quality. The range is decent, although I never get more than 12 feet away from the MC with it. The keys themselves are a bit small, so composing a long document with it can be bothersome, but this KB is not meant to be your everyday typer. I'd highly recommend it for any HTPC.
