Description

I mainly built this computer for gaming purposes. I also use it to run some engineering programs since some of them are not available for my MacBook Pro. Since the past two weeks I have had it built I have played a bit of ARK, Doom and Rise of the Tomb Raider on the max settings. I have also used it to do some 3D drawings in Solidworks 2015, it seems to handle both without much of a problem. This is my first PC build and I decided I wanted to do it right the first time.

I was just curious as to whether or not this build will support 4k gaming or if you know whether or not it will support streaming and rendering videos well?

I believe this setup will support 4k gaming, I think that 1070 may be a little underwhelming at 4k though. I only have a 1080p monitor and I can testify that it is a beast at that resolution at any setting. The best information I can give you is that the 1070 is comparable if not better than the titan x at any resolution you are going to run. This link --> http://techgage.com/article/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1070-review-a-look-at-1440p-4k-ultra-wide-gaming/ will give you information about the 1070 at different resolutions for a couple AAA titles. Going off of that information you may be able to get away with gaming at those higher resolutions but 40ish fps is what I'm seeing for games on 4k resolution.

As for video rendering and streaming, I'm not sure. I'm sure that this setup would be able to handle anything within reason thrown at it.
