Description

Userbenchmark PC Build Baseline Bench: Game 105%, Desk 133%, Work 103% CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 $185 GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 $528 SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe PCIe M.2 500GB $100 HDD: WD VelociRaptor 500GB $65 RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3200 C15 2x8GB $80 MBD: Asrock B450M Pro4 $80

This build started because i saw a video of the game Space Engineers and it reminded me of when i used to play that game years ago but never could enjoy it because my computer was a potato. I have dreamed of having a PC capable of giving a pleasing visual experience with a smooth consistent sim speed. I had been pricing out parts for a few months with no intention on buying them but then i came across this old fx 6300 w/ r9 270x tower for sale for $200 and snatched it up. I sold the old gpu and outdated AM3+ mobo/cpu for $125 and used the remaining guts for this build ( case, 600W PSU, opt drive, HHD, SSD, fans) saving me a ton of money on small things. I also stumbled upon a used GTX 1080 for a solid $240 (works perfect) thus making my build even cheaper and grabbed the MOBO from amazon with the BIOS already updated to ryzen 3000 ready and hit the local best buy for the ram, NVME SSD, and CPU.

I've named her Ole' Dartha. I've been playing Modern Warfare, space engineers, destiny 2, and many other games on max settings 60+fps easily. i have no complaints about this build or any of the items used in it, it is going to serve its purpose for awhile.

Clearly, OP comes from a year in the future, where Intel has launched their GPUs.

Wondering the same thing, the GPU is nvidia, intel doesn't make graphics cards, not really anyway.

PLEASE fix your cable management. Also, see if you can grab some sleeved cable extensions, as the ketchup/mustard ones look pretty bad.

Looks like no ***** were given building this. Plug it in AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. HURRY UP. GET IT BUILT. At least get some zipties and clean that rats nest up. Take pride in it.

Damn, that ACX 3.0 1080 though. Looks like a solid build parts-wise. It should be able to handle Red Dead Redemption 2 if you're into that sort of thing. Have fun. :)
