Description

Had to deploy a bit of tom foolery while adding parts as the "build" contains multiple PC's and the "other" section seems to have a limit, I would think there would be an option for that with the emerging multi motherboard cases but I digress.

All three PC's including the Surface Book are very much intertwined, outputting and ingesting audio and video signals to and from each other with the two towers being cooled by one massive water cooling loop.

Other than that I think the name speaks for itself.

people out here building pcs over 32000 dollars while im here trying to find a decent pc for like 100 dollars

illusionbolt9670 4 points 2 months ago

eh, it's only 32,000, just like 53459348 times more than my own worth

ToFast 8 points 2 months ago

ksander 3 points 4 months ago

Hahahha I have the same man, I feel you

FiveSquared25 1 point 2 months ago

Go to 300 and 2200g would help you out. See my saved parts list. If you want a full nice setup, go to the broke gamer part list.

ThatKidThad 1 Build 2 points 2 months ago

for 400 and down go USED for the best bang for your buck

FiveSquared25 1 point 2 months ago

I know, but I want to think for the future. Instead of being stuck on a old platform and upgrading in 2020, I would like to stay on one platform and just change out the cpu to a high end used one in 2023ish.

elongatedmuskrat 1 Build 0 points 3 months ago

I got a good one for about 1k

Lyman 16 points 6 months ago

Can it run Minecraft though?

hyperlystic 8 points 3 months ago

Probably not. I mean, He only has 1 1080. Like a peasant.

CAS5BO 5 points 3 months ago

I HAVE OnE 1080!! on my part list..

TomPGameU 3 points 4 months ago

I sorta doubt it....

hi_im_snowman 15 points 6 months ago

It's amazing to me that one can purchase all of this for only about 20k. Oh how the world of tech has evolved, it's just absolutely incredible. I mean hell, I work from home and all I need to do my job well is a ~$5,500 setup. A friend of mine is a farmer and he started his business with a 640k loan/partial subsidy from the government. Isn't it incredible how the world has changed?

Apologies, I digress.

I think the water-cooling solution you've come up with is damn clever and I love that you took it to heart and built it into the walls. That deserves massive kudos. It's unique, gutsy and I'm sure, really effective. I really enjoy the simplicity of your main build, it fits-in very well with the complete setup, which of course is totally monstrous.

+1 mate, you had me at the custom "in-wall" loop!

TheAgnda submitter 1 Build 7 points 6 months ago

Technological advancements never fail to impress, truly amazing, thank you for the kind words!

Phildilf 3 Builds 13 points 3 months ago

DAYUM SON GOT ENOUGH POWER THERE,

i have never seen a loop so big the radiators are in the basement xD 10/10 this build looks amazing you did an outstanding job but what do you use it for?

can it run crysis at 120 FPS

mtvanc 4 points 6 months ago

More like can it run crysis at 4k?

HuzzahGustav 6 points 6 months ago

I have to ask, what do you do for a living and does this setup help you with that? This is one hell of a rig (rigs?). 9/10, cable management lacks severely. :D

TheAgnda submitter 1 Build 8 points 6 months ago

Currently an analyst who does some minor programming for a company, I hope one day I can turn my love for tech and this setup into something more than just a hobby.

Sorry about the cables! At least you won't typically see them ;)

HuzzahGustav 3 points 6 months ago

all good! I wish you the best in your endeavors!

PersonPerson 1 point 5 days ago

how easy do you think It is to cable manage 400,000 cables?

titlo3 6 points 2 months ago

Remember when computers were the size of rooms? me neither but I do now

kopas 3 Builds 5 points 6 months ago

My favorite thing about your pictures is following the water cooling loop back to radiator town... Awesome.

Bentodd69 5 points 6 months ago

I’m dropping 500 on a build and I thought that was expensive. I’m still saving up and you have a set up that cost more than a nice car. Your grind and dedication is real. Have fun with that setup.

mtvanc 4 points 6 months ago

Well ****. Why not a 1080ti instead of a 1080? Would that have been unnecessary for your build?

TheAgnda submitter 1 Build 3 points 6 months ago

Purchased the 1080 on launch day, wasn't sure the TI was a big enoug upgrade for me, I don't think it could flawlessly run my main display either.

Hoping the next series can, definitely an upgrade in my future!

trylaarsdam 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

Well you won't have to wait long for an 1180 :)

unless nvidia is being a **** again and faking us out

BrimstoneBell 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

hello old post. 1180s are probably never going to but the RTX series does exist

Heriaxhawk 1 Build 4 points 6 months ago

Nice, I would love this for my producer setup, but sadly I'm stuck with a lot of low end gear, kudos for the great build. I am totally jelly..

sebkuip 4 points 6 months ago

The most shocking thing is the water cooling loop, there have been enough multi builds in a single case that I have seen, but you took it one step further by adding a complete custom loop to your basement. Doesn't it cause thermal issues? When Linus (Linus' tech tips) did whole room water cooling it kinda failed. Thermals were a big issue. Nontheless the build looks just amazing, I'm kinda speechless. This must have taken ages to build and set up. Good job dude!

TheAgnda submitter 1 Build 6 points 6 months ago

Linus was definitely my inspiration to attempt this, luckily he showed us how not to do it so I could do it right haha

It gets very hot in my room and adding something like a window AC unit is much too loud as one of the main purposes of the setup is audio production, lots of microphone recording. By moving the heat out of the room into another while simultaneously eliminating the need for computer fans has really got my noise levels in check. And by using rubber tubing instead of copper piping in the room I'm trying to cool down the grand majority of the heat is dissipated in the walls and then the radiators in the basement.

Happy to say it's been a big success, the only time it gets moderately hot in here now is when I have all my displays turned on at once, not really sure what to do about that. Maybe if I had the resources I could look into water cooling displays, maybe in the future ;)

Thank you for the kind words!

sebkuip 4 points 6 months ago

You're welcome! Glad to hear you had a bigger success than Linus.

Victok 4 points 2 months ago

Legend says his loop runs to Siberia for maximum cooling efficiency

417man02 3 points 6 months ago

You have it all in this build... Should have bought a 1080 ti if you had that much money.

FussGus 1 Build 3 points 6 months ago

I had to change myself thanks... :)

ssjhr 1 Build 3 points 2 months ago

This is the craziest setup I've ever seen. Its freaking awesome!! You've practically built yourself a Bat-Computer, and I love how the system goes throughout your house.

Definitely one of the coolest and most creative builds on here, if not ever.

chopschops 2 points 6 months ago

I will get blind if i play in this condition XD ! Nice build bud!!!

Deanfvjr 2 points 6 months ago

All this game and you install Windows

droem 2 points 6 months ago

what?

Unown_User03 1 point 1 month ago

Windows has all the games

TomPGameU 0 points 4 months ago

why would you install linux or anything else on something so expensive

2ndReichMapper 1 point 4 months ago

windows has the most compatibility with games lol

terrynt 1 point 11 days ago

Why would anyone install Linux or anything else that can run most of supercomputers instead of Windows that can't even run most of these supercomputers on something so expensive like a supercomputer which almost all of them runs on Linux?

Edit: This comment is sarcasm by the way.

CMS357 2 points 6 months ago

Woah, this is like a dream setup. Where do you get this money, you a drug dealer? Lol

Do u do any investing at all?

and what will you do when you move?

TheAgnda submitter 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

Lucky to have a great job, made some money in crypto at the time, not a ton though.

Hopefully when I move there will be a room much closer to the source making things easier, still gonna suck though.

Camranatic101 2 Builds 2 points 6 months ago

no, the setup wars

Brion_Sundae 2 points 6 months ago

Only 1 1080 not good enough for minecraft at 1080p

m16_gaming 2 points 5 months ago

Really amazing setup but im really wondering why the hell do you need an interface and a mixer your interface are capable more than your mixer Or you use it to control volume in real time even there is a midi faders that can use the RME software

TheAgnda submitter 1 Build 1 point 5 months ago

I mix almost everything between the two RME interfaces (that are interconnected via ADAT), and then simply run the outputs to the Mackie so I can physically adjust volume. This way way I don't need to alt-tab out of full screen applications, or constantly use Totalmix (RME's mixer) with a mouse which isn't nearly as easy as using physical sliders. On top of those reasons I am capable of leaving system(s) & mic volume at max so in recordings game, mic, and discord volumes are un-altered. This allows me to tune volumes to the level I want to hear on the physical mixer while recorded volume is flat for post production mixing. For example in something like PUBG I am constantly adjust volume on the physical mixer as I want volume very high while listening for footsteps, but very low while traveling in vehicles.

Additionally I run my console volume (Switch / PS4 via TV) and Surface Book's volume (over USB) through the mixer untouched by the RME cards. The Mackie was the smallest board I could find with the right amount of inputs, a board with a USB connection, 6 stereo inputs, and a few outputs and submixes would be ideal.

m16_gaming 1 point 5 months ago

Thats really cool setup i hope it doesn't downsample or add latency or something I Wish i could buy an RME interface those are really expensive But this is really complex setup and did you map a virtual channels for specific programs? Or a slider for a hardware like PC and your PS4?

amk52024 2 points 4 months ago

Can it run crysis?

Pulling a Linus Tech Tips with whole house water cooling are we?

Seriously though, the only other person I would see doing this whole house water cooling is Linus. Good to see that there's more than one person doing crazy water cooling experiments other than Jay or Linus! :D

MassiveLegend2 2 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

I have no words that can describe this. Perhaps it needs none. Why didn't you just run cool tap water through the loop while you were at it. Seems like a great idea aside from calcium buildup. Serious question begins here. Any idea what the power draw on the entire setup is?

TheAgnda submitter 1 Build 2 points 6 months ago

I definitely wouldn't want to worry about any kind of sediment which as you mentioned would come naturally with tap. I started looking into water chillers after I had ordered all the parts, seemed like a pretty good option. However they are much louder and create even more heat, not to mention most people use chillers to push water temp far below room temp at which point you have to worry about condensation, this would likely be another issue with tap.

I have no idea what the power draw is, sounds a bit fascinating maybe I'll look into it. I can tell you this much - when I receive the the power bill it compares the power consumed at my house to the surrounding average, not a pretty picture.

TheSethles 1 point 6 months ago

Hi! I'm new to the PC building arena, and I was wondering, how much is too hot for the CPU? I don't want to break it...

TheAgnda submitter 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

I try to keep mine under 75c but anything below 85c should be safe.

banzai112 1 point 6 months ago

Wow. Thats one amazing build. Whats the cooling tdp for the cooling loop. Looks like there is 4 560 radiators so it could cool 3-4 of those computers?

TheAgnda submitter 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

I think it's something like 800w per rad (they are slim), not to mention that much of the heat is being dissipated via the copper tubing in the walls.

I could probably cool 5 systems comfortably, I knew very little going into this project but each time I do something like this I learn a ton. If I could go back I would have went with 2, but hey now I have a "little" headroom ;)

TheRealImagineBigger 1 point 6 months ago

There's 3 things wrong with this PC 1. 1 additional M.2 2280-M compatible slot is needed. 2. 4 additional RAM slots are needed. 3. Intel - Core i9-7900X 3.3GHz 10-Core Processor does not include a stock CPU cooler. Adding a CPU Cooler to your part list is recommended.

TheAgnda submitter 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

You're confused because the "build" contains 2 systems. The CPU is being cooled by the whole room loop as seen in the pictures, the CPU waterblock is listed under custom parts.

OGCrustyNugget 1 point 2 days ago

Hes saying that PC Parts Picker gives you those warnings in the parts list.

LaTree 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

How long did it take you to build this? How did you afford this? How did you build this? How and why is this literally limitless?

Lyman 1 point 6 months ago

Put in an eighteen core processor and 128 gigs of ram an i might just buy it from you right here and now.

Yognaught_Ace 2 Builds 1 point 5 months ago

God damn, nice build, the monitor on top looks amazing though, not saying anything else doesnt of course

powerup777 1 point 5 months ago

I'm considering dropping 10k on a single power workstation. That reflects a lot of planning integrating three sub-systems into one, replete with singular cooling. Multimedia is my application too (with huge 4K monitor). Great build, thanks for the super detailed pics.

Cerberus_viltan_2 1 point 5 months ago

This is my dream pc, Logitech G peripherals and all!

_Ja_Krispy_ 1 point 5 months ago

thats a insane build how long to put all that together

Cchor 1 point 5 months ago

IS it just me but this setup is overwhelming but i ******* love it!

MichealJoeden 1 point 5 months ago

I have never thought about what my dream setup would look like because there is really no limit to how much stuff you can add, hence your name "Limitless". This just gave me a visual representation of what my dreams are. Thank you +1

Raimei 1 point 5 months ago

What's your signal chain? Like which goes to what when it comes to your interfaces?

BansheeAlpha 1 point 4 months ago

Logitech. Good man. I have the Logitech Pro, (I could've gotten the Orion Spark, but I felt like it had too many bells and whistles, so I got this one) and let me tell you it is the greatest keyboard. Also have the G933 headphones. Great products.

But even though the 20's are nicer the 1080s area bit faster. So my point is id get a 1080ti and I know nobody cares about my opinion or what I have to say but that's just what I think
