.:DARK CRIMSON v 1.0 :.
It TOOK me almost 2 months of pure Research(ive been out of touch from the pc realm since 2012) of the newest Tech, board, gpu cpu, you name it. Overwhelmed was an understatement, cant believe how much i"ve missed out on Pc tech for the past 10 years or so.
WHY DIVE INTO THE UNKNOWN PC WORLD AGAIN
Well, short answer would be "GAME !!!!! do u GAME !! " ,a long answer would be, i'am missing out!!, yes my last pc built was in 2012 , well technically, me and my bro built it..ok ok.. ive bought the part , and my bro built it while ive watch helplessly . Since then, ive been racking eheeemm a smooth silent high end BOX.My XBOX 360 that is !!! well image popping, Red Onion rings, Fans as loud as blending a 3310 nokia phones aside, it has serve me well for the past 7-8 years of low end GAMING. Yes i said it... Low End Gaming you big console LOVER !! Ive missed so much on the Graphic End, and tech , its not even a joke to called myself a GAMER anymore.
With That in Mind , On one fine weekend, when le kids & le wive were well Asleep , Ive Fire up my RUSTY 360 game for the last time & played till early sunday morning , good bye, will not miss you babe.... SOLD it online ,a weeks or so later on for $100+- (around rm 300-ish) & With that starting money, ive bought my first PC part, my SAMSUNG 850 evo 120gb . So the journey towards the unknown PC realm just took it first STEP...
HOW IT WENT DOWN
I figure out that a $1000 ++ PC would get the job done, my target Rig is just above mid UP TO high end (is there even proper a scale to PC BUILD? lol ), and it would serve me well for my thirst on ULTRA/HiGH end graphic + Medium VID & IMAGE EDITING.
Naaaah... ive work in a local Universities, they have a PC loans, so ive applied, and BOOOM ,CASHH moneeeyy !. (it tooks almost 1 1/2 months tho, to received the money & completed as u all might expect from a government loan)
WHY IVE CHOSE THIS PART
CPU & MOTHER BOARD : Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core & MSI Z87-G43 Gaming ATX LGA1150
First of all, PC parts in malaysia are darn pricey, well ULTRA FREAKIN PRICEY, so to spend almost $200 (rm600+-) on a mobo is well out of my budget . I want to moderately Overclock my CPU in the present & maybe in the near future, OCing till the Last drop .
MY theme is BLACK & RED , & i was impressed by the Dragon themed by msi .A Z97 gaming mobo was too EXpensive, and it was not to much of an upgraded version on an z87 chipset, so at $100 dragon themed mobo,mSI g87 g43, was a really nice bargain for me. The i5 4690k was another coup on my end, as prices for this bad boy was hovering around $220 ++(RM 830++), i was lucky to find a guy who could sell me on the cheap(in fact cheapest in malaysia i might add). i7 ?? i wont even dare to talk about the price..u guys get it right? PC part+Malaysia = LAVISHLY OVERPRICED ..
GPU & RAM : MSI GTX 970 4G (3.5 G) Gaming & 8 gb Kingston SAVAGE
Myyyyyyyy preciousssssss..& obviously the thing that squeezed a lot out my of budget so far. i was mulling on the idea of getting it on ebay on the cheap(refurbished by MSI) but after considering the hassle from custom checking(electronics import) & time to wait for the delivery, i went full on crazy eyed shopaholic state, & paid the guy $410.00 (rm 1500+-) for it.graah darn u !!! inner-small-guys-whispering-this-would-look-perfect-for-ur-black-red-theme
8gb Kingstons SAVAGE, well, its 8 gb!!! & RED, no argument here , for $82 (rm300+-) it was at a normal price surprisingly..
STORAGE : 120gb SAMSUNG EVO 850 SSD & 2TB GREEN WESTERN DIGITAL
As ive said before, i went on a lot of research, & i mean constant 10-20 videos & web browsing, the best pc parts, what goes well into what, budget part..yada yada yada.. so with that in mind & for the price it was on, Samsung 850 evo was a no brainer , it looks sleeks (black with a satin feel) & a superb read & write speed.
2tb WD Green i got/steal/borrowed/sneak into/ temporarily placed/transported from my bro, thanks big bro
CASE: CM STORM SCOUT 2 BLACK
i was in love with Phanteks Enthoo Pro , im a big sucka for windowed case & a bit of cable management, & with that priced range i thought, this would be The best CASE for my budget, but as it turn out, it was a nightmare to find here in the island of borneo Malaysia. Shipping it here would be an option , but that would took a months & the case was my last item ive would buy anyway. So i went on to my local/trusty pc store & saw this beauty for only $79(rm 290) , i made up my mind quickly & bought it on the spot.
MONITOR: LG 39" Full HD IPS Smart LED TV
Why?WHY??? a tv??really? well i would have to use the livings rooms as my main pc set up, so i might as well bought a big *** monitor i thought to my self . But "hey..a 29 inch monitor cost like a BOMB here. literally!! "for that price range i might as well bought a 39/40 " inch TV !! " i said to my lovely wives & she node slowly & then agreed to bought me the TV for my monitor, thank u honey...
it was not easy to find a good low input lag & 60 HZ tv for gaming, & to top it off, i have to find a budget TV around $300 (rm 1100+-) (le wive condition), i've trawl the on9 stored, local stored, to find me a good DEAL+GAMING led tv for more than a month, until ive stumbled upon this LG LB5610 39 " inch's led tv. It has around 34 ms(millisecond) input lag & 60 HZ refresh rate. puuuurrrrrrrrrrfecct .
ive bought a cheap wireless keyboard & mouse + xbox controller as im gaming in the living rooms while being judges by my beautiful wive & 7 months old son . Cooler Master was my weapon of choice for cpu cooling, got me a great deal $54(rm 199+-) for seidon 120v water cooling, & bought a bunch of RED led CM fans as well.
it Took me 7 hours to set the whole things up & running as it should. The difficult part was installing the water cooler , & the most satisfying thing was successfully OCing Moderately(got it up to 4.0 ghz ) on the cpu. I am READY to game the hell out of it. Future Upgrade? i want to add in another 8gb ram of course, & maybe some big Rad +fans as im looking to do some video/image Editing in the future .
Overall, this was the most memorable journey for me, as i was overwhelmed by all the new stuff ive learned & discovered, the best thing was , i've manage to squeeze all of it within my PC LOAN budget , which is around $1089 (RM 4000) .
ok then as, the great Rintarou Okabe always said.. till we meet again
el psy congroo
The i5 4690k was another coup on my end, as prices for this bad boy was hovering around $220 ++(RM 830++), i was lucky to find a guy who could sell me on the cheap(in fact cheapest in malaysia i might add). i7 ?? i wont even dare to talk about the price..u guys figured it out..
The manuals sucks, but the cooler was doing good job on cooling. I recommend using two fans in a push & pull set up to fully Ultilise the radiator
highly recommend , get the job done of course
MY theme is BLACK & RED , & i was impressed by the Dragon themed by msi .a Z97mobo was damn pricey, and it was not to much of an upgraded version on an z87 chipset, so at $100 dragon themed mobo,mSI g87 g43, was a really nice bargain for me.

Cable management was superb, but the PSU placement was so damn near the cpu fans. Other than that..i wish it a bigger windowed tho..for that price point i cant argue much..the handle was well build..highly recommend for this price
Great so far, but im still new to it..will updated my star, once fully adapt
Silent, great cabling
a bit loud, but great cabling & a nice rubber at the fans to lower the vibration
