Description

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my first build. I'm 12 yrs old and made my first gaming pc. Specs: CPU: Intel i5-3570k (would've gone with an 8350 but my local Microcenter had a MoBo+CPU bundle for $225 Cooler: NZXT Havik 140 Motherboard: ASrock Z77 Extreme 4 HDD: Seagate 2tb 7,200 RPM GPU: Diamond 7870 PSU: Corsair GS700 80+ Bronze Case: NZXT Phantom Green/Black Total was around $1245 I also bought the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. What do you guys think about my build overall? Keep in mind I'm only twelve so it's not going to be as good as some others out there. Thanks! Wiring was a total nightmare, especially in the back tray. It was really hard but a fun and entertaining experience.

I know, I discovered better cards in this price range the second after I received my 7870 from Newegg. I would've gone with a 7950.

I've never seen a 7870 that small before. Nice build though!

nice build, but that dust man! get some compressed air for your case, and your gpu can be replaced by this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161404

12 years old? Youngest I've seen so far. Nice job. I suggest routing the cpu 8pin through the hole on the top left corner to make it look a lot cleaner.

are you sure you put the right GPU in the build? because this one has one fan and it's small, but in the picture it's big!

No, in the build is a Diamond 7870 based on the reference blower. I guess the one I listed is a new version

Nice build. Looks like you are rocking the same case and monitor as me! I am assuming that monitor is the ASUS VH238H?

What games do you play? Feel free to check out my build as well!

Let me know if you are ever looking for someone to game with.

Cheers!

My monitor is actually an ASUS VS228H-P. I mostly play Crysis 1/2. BF3, MW3, Garry's Mod, and TF2, also Minecraft. I wouldn't mind someone to game with ;)

Very nice build. May I ask why you opt'd to get the 700w PSU? Do you plan to crossfire in the future?

It was on sale for 59.99 at NCIX so I decided to go with this over a 600 watt PSU at the same price

Your parents must love you very much to give you $1200 dollars :P But still, good job getting into the game early, and job well done.

I wish! I had to sell my old pc, my Xbox (never played on that anyways), all the games, and I also got some christmas money together.

are you going to overclock? I would recommend it since you got an unlocked CPU.

It's great. It's much better than the one I built last year when I was twelve.
