Description

decided to build my first gaming machine.

Actual price paid with tax/shipping:$1193.22 (excluding monitor and keyboard)

Tested Metro 2033 and Borderlands 2 both getting over 100fps maxed out settings.

The two biggest surprises in this build was the SSD and the Monitor. I have never used an SSD or a 120hz monitor so i was skeptical on the extra money. Yes, they as good as everyone says they are. The speed of the ssd is truly amazing, and the 120hz refresh rate on the monitor takes FPS gaming to a new level.

I am really enjoying this build.

how do you like the benq monitor? i've been thinking about buying from them but I dont know of anyone else who used them

It's the best monitor i have ever owned. Games look liquid smooth and the color reproduction (with a little tweaking) on them is fantastic. Also, the screen in real life is HUGE. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who need a real gaming monitor.

If you need a monitor for the pure color reproduction aspect. Like if your doing professional color sensitive work on photoshop where reproducing color is the #1 priority then you want to go with a really good ISP panel.

I owned a really nice Korean ISP, but i sold it because i was just that impressed with the Benq strictly for gaming.

Thank you sir.

I had been dreaming up with build for a good 7 weeks, so when i received my last part, i had to resist the urge to put it together asap. I did my best with the cable management without going OCD on it. :)

The case is pretty massive and heavy, not something that would be easily transported to a lan party. I got it because of the aesthetic looks and because it cools like a beast!

I considered it, but in the end i couldn't justify spending an extra $150 bucks for features im not remotely interested in which are 3D over HDMI and a few other little 3D features i will never use.

3D is cool, but its not for me. I am using this for the 120hz refresh rate.
