Description

Primary use computer. I know it's overkill for that... But my hobby is gaming so it fits in perfectly there. I'm going to start getting into streaming let's play videos and this PC should work perfectly for that. Not to mention it will look stylish as heck while working like a charm.

Why did you go for 16GB of RAM? Isn't that a bit overkill for gaming? But otherwise nice build! +1

I went with 16GB for two reasons... it ended up being just about $40 dollars more than 8GBs at the time with sales and such, and I may start to do livestreaming/video rendering of me playing video games on twitch/Youtube.

Yeah I heard the same thing when I posted the build on reddit's buildapc subreddit. And while that is true right now... i will probably go SLI sometime in the future to help future proof the pc. Plus i ended up getting the power supply for like $110 bucks which was a great deal on it.

Why the 8350? I like the choice as I have one myself. Just wondering why you chose it. I feel like it'll be fine for years to come or am I wrong?

you can stream in 720p 60fps and 1080 60 fps really good with the 8350

There are a few reasons... I debated between the 8350 and one of the i5 processors. The biggest factor was sale prices. I was able to pick up the 8350 for about 149.99 at Microcenter and they threw in a 79.99 dollar mini atx motherboard. so seemed like a deal and a half to me. May use the extra motherboard in a test bench as I'm starting to work on pcs on the side.

Thats the wonderful thing about the phanteks enthoo luxe and the corsair h100i... plenty of other color options. the only piece that doesn't have rgb leds is the gigabyte gtx 970.
