Description

I built this PC in January. I use it for everything from streaming movies, to school work at college, and of course all the gaming I have time for. As of now there has been no game my computer can't run at max settings. However, the limited amount of RAM on the GPU could possibly be a downfall when I get heftier and better games in the future so I may upgrade to a 1080 ti or a 2070

Why did you pair an 8700k with a 1050 ti?

Mainly because I didn't have the money to buy a 1080 Ti

I would recommend getting 2 ram sticks of 8gb each instead of one 16gb stick. Dual channel will increase performance.

Single Channel vs. Dual Channel is negligible difference.

Those may be the worst posts ever. Comparing 16gb vs. 8gb gives absolutely no baseline for correct results. I'm not saying there isn't a performance gain to be had from dual channel vs. single, and given the option I'd always suggest to go dual channel, but with a well rounded system and if budget comes into play this 8s something that could easily be skipped for other more intensive parts.

That takes some real guts putting that toaster in the oven! If you upgrade that GPU to a 1080ti please post an updated build with the same case and overclocked stress test temps. No thermal throttling ! if you do i will give you a +1 regardless of any other factors.

It's good to see the old Tesseract being used. I miss using that old piece of junk. I replaced it with an H500.
