Description

This is a gaming PC build I worked on with my 10 year old son. I let him pick out the case, so of course it says Ninja! It was our first try at building a PC and it was fun. This is a very straightforward build. The only issue involved the CPU cooler. The motherboard sits high in the case and I was unable to mount the CPU cooler fans below the radiator as I intended. Just not enough room. Instead, the fans were attached to the top bracket and sit just below the top panel. Also, the radiator was a tight fit because of the pre-installed RGB strip.

I used an NZXT USB 2.0 internal Hub because I needed 3 connections and the motherboard only had 2.

Everything works great. The Smart Device on the NZXT case made things easy to connect. The onboard WiFi seems to be working well with the antenna.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!

Great build! I just picked up the same case for my ten year old. It's a Christmas gift. I'm looking to build our first case too. I have heard mixed reviews about the cam software, have you used it and any advice?

Thanks! I think CAM is fine. We only use it to look at the status of the system and control the RGB for the case and the NZXT cpu cooler. He uses iCUE to control the rgb of the RAM, keyboard and mouse, and uses Aura Sync to run the rgb of the motherboard and graphics card. I don’t think any of them are great pieces of software, but my 10-year-old is using them just fine and having a lot of fun changing the settings. Good luck on your build in let me know if you have any questions !

Can you use all 4 ram slots with that cpu cooler?

Btw I am almost 50 and I am getting that case. :)

No. I think it’s too tight of a fit when I tried to use all slots. Awesome!!!
