Description

This is my first attempt at a PC build. This machine was built for freelance work and personal projects using visual effects software such as Maya. Mari, and Nuke. I also plan on doing some gaming with it.

I just finished building it but I need to go back and reorganize the wires this weekend and put all my software on it!

I'll add some commentary on why I chose each part this weekend.

I want to thank all my wonderful friends for giving me advice on parts.

If I were you, I would just check the orientation of those front fans, looks like they are set up to exhaust out of the front. Try flipping them over so the Bitfenix logo is pointing into the case, so they are intakes, so that you can make use of the filter in the front of your case.

Yup, you are correct, they are exhausting out the front. OP needs to flip them. Nice catch!

Is that a giant touchpad or a drawing thingy?

Both, I believe. I have a Wacom Bamboo, and it can be used as both (that one is much nicer than mine, though)

Are you planning on OC'ing? If not why did you get the K version of that processor...

Other than that a nice solid build! Thanks for sharing

At that price? I'd take it whether I wanted to OC or not...

Nice build!

I personally would have saved a little money ($50) and gone with the 840 EVO and spent a few more dollars ($5) and gone with a hybrid Seagate, but otherwise, that config is pretty darned nice (nice price for the 3770K)
