Description

This was my first build and I use it as my main gaming rig. I play various graphic intensive games and they've all flowed flawlessly so far. I am a bit inexperienced and I was afraid that I had faced the CPU cooler backwards or was drawing heat into the machine instead of out but no warning temps yet! I use the second monitor for multitasking and school work, etc. I had hoped to set up a 3-monitor immersive display but it ended up being too big for the desk I have. The tower ended up being larger than I expected and the cables aren't pretty but it does the job! As far as the specs go...well, like I said, I'm new to the world of PC building. I just wanted to create a build that would play any game I wanted and would last for some time without needing major upgrades.

To be honest, when I first built the computer, I didn't know the difference. I have a lot of music, videos, games, photos, etc. and wanted a high storage capacity to hold all of it. This build is over a year old. Now, however, I am designing a media server to keep track of all of it, SSD all the way. Plus, I can free up some space on this one and hopefully someday install an SSD. But that would require a fresh install and such so it won't be the near future. Maybe once I've finished setting everything up and have cleaned this guy off. That way, there won't be much of a change!
