Description

This machine works well, it can handle most of the games I throw at it at about 100 fps, if it is an especially performance heavy game, it can handle it at about 60 fps I would definitely recommend using a 1000w PSU, it doent have to be the EVGA 1000W ATX12V, but anything with a lower wattage than that will not be able to support all of the components. Other than one PSU failure, I have not encountered any problems with this rig.

PS: I would strongly recommend that you install your OS on the SSD, because your computer will start up a million times faster if you do. Also, the HDD's SATA ports are very fragile (speaking from experience) so make sure to be delicate around them. One last thing, I didn't include a wireless card (wifi), for the reason that the motherboard already had Ethernet capability, so if you want to connect to the internet, just find a Cat5e cable and you should be fine (also Ethernet, in most cases, is faster than wifi, so win-win).

Does your Corsair H55 CPU cooler handle the heat from your FX-9590? I am currently considering upgrading cpu to a FX-9590 or a FX-8350 from a FX6300 but unsure if a H55 will handle it a 9590. People will say just upgrade your CPU cooler as well, but that means even more money!

Well, if you set the cooler up right it should be able to.

Also if you live in a hot environment you might want to look at better ones.

hey around what temps does your cpu have? my 360m captian cooler crapped out on me and i have to get something cheaper.... oh and btw you could have run this build on a 650w-750w power supply.

Hey, sorry for the late response. I usually get a CPU temp around 60C when I'm gaming (a normal temp), and honestly I'm not sure if you could run it on a 650w/750w psu. I had a 650w in this computer once, but it kinda crapped out, so I just sorta said "go big or go home" and bought a 1000w.

What games do you play on this build and how many fps do you get?

Sorry for the late response - I usually play games like Rainbow Six-Seige, CSGO, GTA V, etc. I get a really good fps on all of those (usually around 80-150fps) and I play at ultra, but there are some games that are really poorly optimized such as Space Engineers or 7 Days to Die, where I still get a good 60fps, but need to optimize the graphics settings a bit. I would not reccomend getting a GTX 970 though. I would definitely invest in a GTX 1070 instead, its roughly the same price as the 970 that I bought, but is way more powerful.
