Description

My friend needed a PC for gaming and his budget was 750usd. All he plays are LOL and Overwatch so he doesnt really need a powerful rig, thus we decided to divert most of his budget into making it look awesome.

And his definition of awesome, are things that glow green.

Personally I'm a fan of red, but the market is simply too saturated with red things. It is quite refreshing to see other colors in a gaming build. Hell the result is so cool that I'm tempted to make my own rig green in the future.

Pictures really doesnt do it justice, in person the green has lower brightness, feels way "greener".

Unfortunately the sata cables that comes with the mobo arent black, I'll probably swap it out soon.

And forget about the pitchforks, the PSU was from his previous PC. It was not bought too long ago and I honestly do not think it will burn down his house anytime soon. Though the cables of the power supply were in those ugly colors. Since we do not have professional tools and stuff, we decided to just paint it with a marker pen. Gotta say, result was better than expected.

Hope that there will be more green parts in the future. Maybe one day, it will take over the world and become the new Red.

Part Reviews

CPU

Perfect for mid range gaming build.

CPU Cooler

Never goes over 45 Celsius even in prolong gaming load. No idea what kind of sorcery is that.

Memory

It's cheap, it's full black, and it works. 10/10

Video Card

Overclock headroom is quite disappointing, but not unexpected considering the parts used in the PCB. For casual gaming though, nothing to complain about. Fans are silent under load, and most importantly.... RGB

Case

Great case to look at and build with, especially since you do not have to do any cable management :D Some mind baffling design choices such as removable 2.5" and 3.5" bays that still require SATA cable routing.... Those minor things aside, awesome case.

Case Fan

Looks better than expected, the Riing is just beautiful. Comes with low noise cable and different screws. Build quality meet what you expect from a 16usd fan.

Man, I wish some parts were easier to get green, because then I'd totally get a green build over a blue one...

Oh, the build? Yeah, it's nice. Like you said, the Riing does look nice, and the build overall looks really quite cool.

A. Do you keep the side panel off and if you do, do you have dust problem

  • 1 point

of course I keep it on, panel off only for the pictures. With my limited experience in corsair mesh style dust filter, I'd say they have been doing alright keeping the dust away.
