Description

This build is for casual use as well as gaming. I built this computer about a year and a half ago, just found this website and thought it would be cool to share!

It was very highly recommended to get this computer off the carpet, so I did with some pieces of particle board from Ikea :D

Added a NZXT Kraken x60 CPU cooler today, looks great, quiet, and so far I find a 10C decrease in temperature in medium to high stress games on ultra settings (Temp from 52C down to 40-42C)

I'm getting a simular build but with a fx 6300 instead. What games do you play and what settings/fps do you get? would love to hear some benchmarks :)

I'll get back to you with some more information as soon as I have it. But for the most part it runs everything I throw at it very well, high to maximum settings. Just make sure you have proper ventilation and cooling. Ive played some fps', league, portals 2, dark souls, final fantasy xiv, starcraft II, diablo III, bioshock II. No noticable stutters or dip in frame rates.

I actually just moved to a place with carpet, was thinking about buying a piece of wood or something to get it off the carpet. Any thoughts?

Ideally you should put it on a desk, but a piece of wood would still be better than carpet, go for it.

Do you have it configured in a pull setup with 2 140 mm fans on top? did you have to buy any extra parts or do any modification to do so? and how does 2 140 mm fans look on the top? I feel like it would look weird without the 200 mm fan I don't know though.

You over paid for that card: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvr795wf33gd Good build though!

Thank you, I failed to mention that I built this computer about a year and a half ago, but I will admit the graphics card was a little pricey. Not sure when it will need to be upgraded though or possibly CrossFire'd.

I went ahead and took it off the carpet, there is also a dust filter on the bottom of the case :).
