Description

Hi everyone! This is my first PC build. I decided to make the switch from consoles. Me being in college, paying for this was not fun. But I managed to save up enough money to build a budget build. Putting this together was definitely a lot of fun. I did a tone of research before I purchased the parts. I do plan on overclocking once I actually figure out how to do it and get a couple more case fans. I'd love some feedback, critique, etc.

by "Animus" i thought you would have a lot of memory and storage but the build is pretty good overall :D

no complaints on my end, although i personally would've gone with at least 2 4GB sticks of RAM, which aren't much more expensive than a single 8GB stick and it doubles the effective memory bandwidth (though it doesn't do much overall, it's just good practice overall to take advantage of performance benefits wherever possible).

I do have 2 4GB sticks of Team Elite, but it wasn't listed in he parts list for some reason.

7850 would have been a better choice over the 650 ti, but otherwise good!

When I bought the 650 ti, it was cheaper than the 7850. Plus my 650 has 2GB of VRAM instead of 1.

Unfortunately, the 650 Ti doesn't benchmark near as well as the 7850.

And the 2 gigs of VRAM wont help you much unless you decide to go multiple monitors.

The 650 Ti BOOST model, on the other hand, would have served you quite better.

*edit: Foot in mouth. just looked through pictures and see that he/she IS running two monitors. feel like an a$$ now. Enjoy your build.

How well does it run BF4 Beta and ArmA III?

I haven't purchased ARMA III yet and BF4 Beta is super buggy. There is also terrible frame rate lag when playing beta. But remember it's still in beta.

I would have got a cheaper case and throw that money into a better gpu
