Description

This is my first build. I am 15 Years old and live in the UK, I wanted this for gaming. It has certainly delivered, I can max out any game and get good frame rates whilst the system stays cool. I play BF4, FSX (Flight Sim) and free games. I also wanted the system to look good and have nice cable management, the cable management went OK. This was helped with the purchase of Corsair's rubber grommets, my case (Corsair 300R) is not the best for cable management but gets the job done. Although I am fairly new to PC Building I had an OK understanding of what I wanted, I obviously checked to make sure I was on the right track, but I have to say I love corsair products. Corsair link is great, the case quality is really good and the H80i is a solid piece of kit. Anyway onto what I thought of each product.

Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core

Pros- A popular choice for gamers, I love it, It is so fast and I have managed to over clock it to 4.8GHz and under load it got up to 75c which I think is good, Overall solid CPU.

Cons- Doesn't really have any, Nothing to fault it as of yet!

Corsair H80i 77.0 CFM Liquid

Pros- I love corsair and this delivers, really good at what it does and the best in its field for me. The fans it comes with a surprisingly good and to top it off corsair link provides great control over my system.

Cons- The installation was a bit fiddly but was OK, Luckily the pipes are built solidly and can fit it tight spaces.

Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3

Pros- This motherboard is not actually a popular choice but a friend has it so I went with it. Its average, I kinda wish I went with a more popular choice but it gets the job done.

Cons- Only 1 slot for expansion cards e.g wifi adapter, Bluetooth etc. Not really suited for heavy gaming but as I said it gets the job done.

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB)

Pros- RAM is RAM, not much to say really, again it was a popular choice so I went for it, has not let me down and I does what I need it to do.

Cons- None :)

Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD

Pros- Super fast, much faster than a HDD but you get less storage. Good for putting games onto and generally improved my loading time!!

Cons- Expensive for not that much storage but that's how it is.

Western Digital 1TB (Blue)

Pros- There's not much to say, its a HDD, not too fast but has lots of storage at a good price.

Cons- None :)

Asus GeForce GTX 770 2GB

Pros- This card is a beast, I love it. I can max out any game with ease, GPU Tweak is also a very good addition to the GTX 770, I tend to keep the settings to power saver because it gets very hot otherwise.

Cons- It can get very hot in 'Gaming Mode' up to 75c, so I turn it down to power saver which makes not much difference.

Corsair 300R

Pros- Well built case, lots of room and its generally a good case.

Cons- Not much room for cable management.

Corsair 600W Modular

Pros- Its a power supply, it does what I need it to do and thats about it. Being modular also helps out a tonne!!

Cons- None :)

OTHER PARTS: NZXT 2 Fan Controller Zalman ZM-K500 Keyboard R.A.T 3 Mouse Blue LED'S

That's it, hope you like my build. Please comment your thoughts and any possible upgrades. Thanks!!

Discontinued by windows (Thus having security risks). They are desktop gadgets. Get rainmeter instead.
