Description

Handy build for bedroom, just to play a few games e.g. GTA5, Star Citizen, Sims 4 etc, Browse the interwebs, chat to mates and watch some movies :)

Was easy to build, it's my first proper build, other than a budget pc I used to have. The cable management is okay, though the Neos doesn't allow for much space to run the cables through on the right side of the case. 8 usb ports on the back, 2 usb3.0, and 2 on the front, 1 usb3.0, though the pages selling the 970a-ds3p seem to insist it only has 6, probably didn't look well enough but it's a happy accident.

The computer runs nicely, and after much messing-with is now dual-booted windows 7 and hackintosh yosemite, despite being an amd build. If anyone asks why I put hackintosh on this, I just like OS X for general usage, I think it looks nicer and runs smoother, and I.. for some reason enjoyed installing it.

The build is a little bit loud, just because the fx-8350 cooler isn't top-notch. May upgrade with a 212 evo sooner or later. it's accompanied with a 24" and a 23", (will probably upgrade the 23" to the same model as the 24") both 1080p, runs em fine, but I'm guessing no dualscreen gaming for anything other than indie games or movies and such. Also with a blackwidow chroma and a roccat kova[+] with goliathus alpha mousemat, the kova is wonderful to use and the chroma is awesome to look at and feels nice, great for gaming and touchtyping. got a loud click which i like ;P.

The case looks so cool. like really. I love it. I'm happy I went with white and red too. I may get the window side too, but then I'd have to neaten the cables a little more :P. Very soon I will go ahead and stealth the dvd writer using the detached case over the top of course.

That's it pretty much, been using the build for a week or so, and it's awesome. Thanks for checking the build out :)

I did indeed, haha the real challenge, suprisingly, was getting the 960 ssc to work.

Thanks for checking it out :)

Boys MSI GTX 960 just needed the Drivers direct from Nvidia..

Only Issue I ended up working around was Sound over HDMI. Had to just go with a set of External Speakers since the HDMI fails to send the audio over to the Monitor for some odd reason.

Researched it and tinkered for most of a day and then just gave in and hooked up speakers Grin..

Oddly enough the Sound over HDMI does just fine on my machine running Linux Mint.

Fun Times !!

Haha! I probably would've just used external speakers too! Sound is sound right? :P

with the gtx, It is just the drivers I needed which did come straight from Nvidia. Just took so long because for no obvious reason I was getting so many problems with it. The hardest one to fix was when I restarted the os to see if it worked, I just got a solid white screen for about an hour before finally loading to the log in screen, which just never actually logged in and various errors appearing about the drivers.

It's working now (pretty much), so all's good !

Carpet? Please tell me your PSU fan is facing up.

Also, what is that black square on top of your case in the first picture?
