Description

This is only my second build, the first being over 10 years ago. Trying to duplicate factory built PCs with their custom wiring harnesses tucked close to the case for better ventilation was near impossible for me. That is where the Corsair Air 540 really shined. This was a painless build with just a little planning for cable routing. I still need to work out a problem with the front fan led lights and load a few drivers and all will be good. I have the liquid cooler attached to the top blowing out where I have seen some attached to the front. I have an Acer 28” ultra HD monitor and two Gigabyte GTX 970s in SLI.

I am testing it out in Star Citizen and cannot tell you how pleased I am with what came out.

WHY CAN'T YOU TELL US HOW PLEASED YOU ARE WITH HOW IT PERFORMS STAR CITIZEN! D:

Just playin' :P

Great build. I'm sure the pictures would've been better if you had flipped them before uploading to the site xD.

I love that case, and I think you should light it up!

Thanks so much for your positive comments. Very sorry about the pics turned crazy. I swear I turned them around, saved them on my PC and posted them. Proof is in the pudding I suppose. Thanks for giving me an outlet to be boastful. I tell my gaming friends what I have and then have to keep my mouth shut or I sound like I'm having sex. I am grinning ear to ear.

Aww man, the video is fantastic. I can't say enough how even old games I thought were beyond improving come out sharp with new detail. I'm still messing with programing my keys and such on Star Citizen but I am awed with the graphics. Damn the detail pops out at you. Everything I had ever hoped out of an upgrade came true. The only headache has been adjusting to the change from Win7 to Windows 8.1 during a new build.

I spent a night trying to overclock my 970's and found for me I wasn't taxing what I already had out-of-the-box so I wound up resetting them for the time being. Using Furmark I had scores @1080 over 4600 with 80 fps with overclocking and over 4000 score with about 73 fps unclocked. The warmest the gpu ever got was 72c when maximum overclocking and fans blasting. Gpu idle temps are about 35c.

I used this site and your alls feedback as a bible to pick my parts. So I blame you all. The kids can wear last year’s shoes.

Again guys, thanks for the friendly response.
