Great case to build in, spent a lot of time on the cable management! Let me know what you think.

Love the Corsair 250D! Such a great little case! Good job on cable management and the color scheme looks awesome! +1

Nice build, compact and considerably tidy. One question, how loud is your system? I have two af120s (the led ones) and it's ridiculously loud.

Thanks! It isn't too loud, but I have only owned af120's and stock fans, so I'm not sure what "quiet" is in terms of fans. They are a lot more quiet than the stock fans!

Nice. Looks to me you hid the cables under the motherboard tray? Thinking about a mini-ITX build too.

Yep, some are hid there, and some are in one of the empty 2.5" drive bays. Very difficult to build in if you you have larger hands like me, but worth it when it is finished :D

Totally man. I have a hard time with mATXs but, in the end, they look so nice. I'll have to look into this case. Looks interesting to build with.

Wasn't too expensive either, paid $75 shipped :D

Good build, could have been tidier but that's just me speaking :p. How are your temps ?

  • 1 point

Literally could not get it any more tidy with the length of cables. I wanted to keep all cables in the bottom compartment and not over the top of the motherboard. Temps are pretty good, running 40C at idle but it is overclocked @4.8ghz :)

It's the second picture that confused me, it seems indeed tidy when I look at the other pics. Nice OC and congrats on the temps, difficult to get better at this speed :)

Yeah at that point in the cable management I was getting tired of fiddling haha. I will probably fix that today, snowed in again /:

Ahh, snow, I'm in France right now and not in Canada, I'm actually starting to miss snow ;)

You've guessed it right! It is indeed a verygood build.

I was going to get the MSI 970 but with no back plate, I rather get the strix.

Strix was louder in some of the videos I watched, and the red/black was too good to pass up. Overall the card runs great and stays pretty quiet.

I've been asked this a lot, haha. Thanks for asking!

Sad day indeed, will have to uninstall the motherboard and send it back /: WiFi module is broken :( will probably update to ASUS MAXIMUS Impact motherboard, and will post build after finished :D

Is the Graphics card fit well? Not touch the top of the case or the plexi? I want to buy a GTX980 it has same size.

  • 1 point

It fits great, lots of space between. Beware of the heat pipes though, they get toasty under load. I would suggest getting 2x 970's over a single 980. The 980 is nearly twice the price over the 970, and usually only a few frames better.

That is OK but I have the 250D case too with Z97 but I have an old GTX 660. :)

pretty good overall build, however that motherboard pin palcements are very bad. You couldve gotten a cleaner build with the 24 pin in the right hand side next to the RAM slots so all your cables will be hidden underneath the 5.25 inch slot, maybe even cover it with the one that came for the optical drive, just saying.

Does the GPU LED get covered up at all or can it be visibly seen from the plexi? Great build BTW!

Great choice of components. Cable management is not bad at all compared to most 250D builds but there's still room for improvement. You have a good PC build overall.
