Description

My gaming pc build went without any problems now wish I would have done a better job with color matching but looks great. Could not have been easier. No problems at all and the case was very easy to work in. Very happy with end results.

Have you tried BIOS tweaking and BCLK Overclocking the 6700? If you got a better cooler (something like a Noctua NH-14) you could probably get similar performance to a 6700K without paying the $400 it costs. It may not be worth it if you are just gaming, but it is pretty cool. Awesome build either way. I have the 970 as well, and it has never failed to bring me amazing performance at 1080p 60-90 FPS depending on the game.

he has a H170 mobo. I think you can only OC non-k CPUs if you have Z170 mobo

Can't really over clock on motherboard. And not wanting to ruin first build. Future build will consider buying over clocking cpu and new motherboard. Plenty to upgrade just will be slow process and not rushing anything. Will eventually move to a better monitor and want to upgrade graphics card to game in higher than 1080.

Been great. Cpu really isn't too busy but keeping gpu busy running all games at max settings.

I find this comment thread funny to me since you can not over on any H chipsets and the i7-6700 is a locked processor. This whole build has nothing to overclock besides the GTX 970.

May I ask, How's the temps of your cpu using stock cooler while gaming?

Not over clocking and will save graphic card upgrade for later. Just gaming in 1080 for now. 980 is over kill.
