Description

First of all I would like to give my thanks to everyone that helped picking computer parts for me especially PCPP forum. I didn't really go all out when I bought the parts even though I have extra money to maybe picked a better cpu/mobo/gpu but I'm happy with what I have now. I am 20 y.o and this is my first ever moderate pc gaming + ANIME ofc :D. I only play games like Dota 2 and mmorpg games + streaming. If you want to play dota together just add me on steam or just simply want to be anime friends :) http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198065828448/

If you ask why I put Senbonzakura as title is because I got inspired by an anime. I think the color of sakura is just so pretty and I had this idea in mind to put a pink led inside case. I have not put the led on yet because I'm still waiting for it to arrived, I will update this when its ready.

The new monitor is on the left. I used my old one which is samsung for my main display.

EDIT: LED finally came in and installation went successfully.

Part Reviews

CPU

I had a dilemma whether to picked 6300 or 8320. I did some research my self and got some opinions from people that 6300 is just underclocked of 8320, so I can just overclocked the 6300 to get the same result as 8320. Overall 6300 is all I need basically + its cheaper.

I have not overclocked the cpu yet because I ran out of money, which is why I didn't include the cpu cooler. But I will buy CM hyper 212 evo in the future when I have money.

Motherboard

Great mobo and good combo with 6300. Have all the features I needed.

Storage

This is the first time ever I used an SSD as windows boot device. It only takes literally 2-3 secs to boot really really fast holy shi*.

Storage

Basic HDD, enough storage for what I need.

Video Card

Now this is the best part of the system. I had so many people telling me to get a better video card like 280/x-290, 660-770. I have done a research on this particular GPU and some said its bad and some said that its good. IMHO this video card is best bang for bucks/performance trust me.

I'm not sure what is the hate for this GPU, people said that this is trash and shouldn't exist, but I think they just don't know what they are talking about and they haven't tried the GPU themselves.

Anyway, this card have a great features such as the fan system not turning on while idling, temps are great, unique design, and doesn't consume much power.

Temp of the card when idle is around 37-44 C, under load is around 55 ish C and fan turn on about 30%.

Really overall I'm happy with this card I threw every game I have on steam (that are not demanding) and some other mmorpg on max settings and get 60fps

Case

Great case, nice design, high quality paint, great air flow, great cable management.

Power Supply

Its seasonic, everyone know how good they are.

Case Fan

Deliver best air flow throughout the case.

Monitor

Basic monitor for gaming/browsing.

Very pretty build. I am also a "moderate" anime fan, and I like how you named your build. Neat cable management, and very stylish case. Build is fine for a budget build. It's not a "monster" but i'm sure it gets the job done. In overall, sweet build!

josh95 submitter 1 Build 2 points 26 months ago

Thanks, yeah for some people out there this pc might not be a monster, but for me its my 1080p little monster :) haha

I love builds with unique names like this.

I also love it since I'm an anime fan haha.

Looks great! You like anime, I like anime. You play Dota, I play dota (on hiatus until I finish my build). +1

The 6320 is not at all anything like the 8320... The 6320 has 6 cores and the 8320 has 8... you cannot overclock a 6 core to perform as well as an 8 core. Please do your research next time.

josh95 submitter 1 Build 3 points 26 months ago

Well overclocked 6300 will give close if not same results as 8320 in term of gaming other than that 8320 will win because of the extra 2 cores.

jipster69 4 Builds 2 points 25 months ago

Those two extra cores are almost useless in most gaming situations. Now if you start using the FX-8320 for multitasking and other things that are CPU dependent, then yes it will out perform the FX-6300, but not by much and that's only if both are left stock.

I would like to see how well an OCed 6300 would fair against a stock 8320 in a benchmark that is not mostly GPU dependent. You might be surprised.

False. You can...

http://www.3dmark.com/compare/2781096/sd/2912746

What you see on the left is THE HIGHEST SCORE EVER POSTED on 3DMark Sky Diver for an FX-8320 (your CPU) running stock, paired with a GTX 660 (if you know the card, you will notice this persons GPU has been OCed to 1106Mhz. Which is fair I guess, cause mine is overclocked as well to 1143MHz).

On the right is the highest score I have posted for the same benchmark using my FX-6300 OCed to 4.7GHz with a GTX 660.

15365 (FX-8320) vs. 15257 (mine)

I had to pick one GPU so scores would have some sort of comparison value, so naturally I would just use mine. Your talkin peanuts here with those two scores. That is no difference in benchmarking. Keep in mind THAT IS THE BEST SCORE EVER POSTED on Sky Diver with a stock FX-8320 and a 660. Only 2 stock CPUs out of 555 posted results (8320+660) were higher than mine... 2.

Well what is the best score with the FX-8320 overclocked and a GTX 660 (also OCed) you might be thinking?

Not much better... 15820 @ 4.5GHz. Please do some real research next time instead of just thinking "8 > 6". We all know 8 is 2 more than 6. My 2 year-old knows that.

CKAMP 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

I don't care what anyone on God's Green Earth says. Unless your OCed CPU is running on wizard magic, 6 cores WILL NEVER be as good as 8 in multi-threaded performance.

Nice build! How quiet is the NZXT S340 case?

josh95 submitter 1 Build 1 point 21 months ago

I would say on load it gets a little bit noisy because I still using the stock fans for back and top exhaust. The 2 Noctua I used as intake in front is pretty quiet on load. Overall its a pretty good case, lot of room, and cheap.

Olliver_Aira 1 point 10 months ago

How noisy would you say it is`? Are you able to listen to music using some kind of desk speaker without hearing the bizz from the fans???

Also is the fans that come with the case enough to cool down your entire build? Or would you recommend buying extra ones???

Best regards Olliver :)

Fez___ 1 point 16 months ago

Is it quiet? Thinking of getting this case and I'm very particular about sound, does much noise escape or is it very low?

josh95 submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Oh man you won't believe it. This case is the best case for the bucks. Its one of the most popular case people would buy.

I have 4 noctua fans running full power, hyper 212 evo, and I hear nothing. No noise at all.

Deepia 1 point 15 months ago

Love the build! I get the name reference. Haha, I love anime.

SKY_LORD 1 point 13 months ago

BRO I SAY GET A DIFFRENT GPU (not cuz its trash cuz i found a better bang for buck gpu wich ou wont get hated on for using radeon 380 4gb i cant remeber maker) but i made the same build in my enginiering class and used it for a little and ye its a good build (if you only play dota and mmorpgs bigger games the frames sometimes drop to 10!)

Xorex64 1 point 12 months ago

Nice, but AS5 is not the best, not by a long shot. The value is crap too.

I love the name, im an animu (akidearest reference) fan too!

XxDonnie 1 point 10 months ago

Pros: Very good build, Sweet wallpapers (btw where can I find those?)

Cons: Look at dat cable management :/ ( my face when I saw it http://i1.wp.com/media.japanpowered.com/images/kaichou-wa-maid-sama-ep-24-2.jpg )
