Description

How's it going guys?! I've been lurking on this site for a very long time and I'm proud to say I can finally post my first custom build. Sorry for the lack of pictures and quality. They were taken from my phone and emailed to myself lol. I'm going to post some more as soon as I get over my laziness.

CPU- I chose this CPU cuz from everything I've read on it, it's a monster! My build is primarily for gaming but I also do video editing for my YT channel as well as some Photoshop stuff so this cpu seemed like a good choice.

Cooler- Had some problems with heat at first but I reseated it and it's working like a charm :)

Motherboard- I got this Mobo with the intention of easy overclocking. I liked the layout of the board and it's functionality. My only complaint is that when using the OC genie I get BSOD or continuous restarts. Not a problem really as I am OCing manually, but would still be nice if it functioned as advertised.

Mem- 16GB is more than enough for what I'm using the PC for and for the price and quality of this ram, I'm very happy.

Storage- I only wanted a small SSD for my OS(Win 7 64). I also have a 1TB Seagate HDD as well as a 1TB external HDD. I'm not a media horder so it's more than enough for what I do.

GPU- So far I'm very impressed with the performance of this card. Looking back I probably could have gotten a 770 but oh well. I'm planning on adding another one of these for SLI.

Case- I didn't want anything super fancy. Just something with good airflow, vents, tool less installs. I'm pretty happy with this case. It has loads of USBs and a hot swap bay on top. My only complaint was the back panel being a pain to install after my wire management. I think there could be a little more room back there but it could also be from me just being a noob. Overall I think my management turned out extremely well for a first time builder.

Fans- I got these 2 to use as exhaust fan in the top of the case. I took the 140 that was originally installed in the top and use it for an intake in the bottom of the case. In total I have 7 case fans installed, most of which were the original fans. The computer is a little loud but that's to be expected when using almost all case fan at max RPMs.

PSU- Love this psu, havent had any issues with it. May have to upgrade eventually, depending on the wattage another gpu will need. For now tho, it's perfect.

Optical- I already had a Samsung dvd drive so I didnt see the need for a new drive.

If you guys have any other questions feel free to ask. Let me know what you guys think, hopefully my research for the parts in this build didn't fail me! Thanks :)

Very nice, although why did you choose the 4gb version of the 760?

I run a 3 monitor setup and at the time the prices weren't very different. I dont know what they are now but it just seemed like a better deal at the time.

Alright, makes sense. I didn't see the monitor setup so I figured I'd ask.
