The stock cooler for AMD is awful. If your case isn't sound dampened, it sounds like a dirt bike in the house (but not quite that loud).

ALSO: To the OP, you can try a low profile cooler. Cooler Master makes those, so does Scythe. If you want info, let me know and I'll link them :)

I can relate, I have the stock cooler on my 8320. It sounds like truck when I'm doing something CPU intensive.

It runs the CPU at decent temps. It is just loud. That is not awful.

That is why it is awful. Who wants that? I never said it didn't do the job. He also asked how loud it is, not how it functions. Should probably read water's post and then mine.

Yeah, the stock cooler is quite loud.

Any specific reason why the MB won't handle the 8320?
